I can just imagine going to work in the morning with a forest at the bottom of the garden, and then coming back eight hours later, to find a golfcourse with a water hazard in it, embankments so smooth it looks like it was done with a trowel. Absolutely mindblowing what Chris can do with that machine.

A good sized decent machine, with a good operator, sure makes this look easy. I watched the renter of the farm just South of my house, struggle for near 2 weeks with a wore out good sized Deere excavator with a mechanical thumb, try to remove trees and brush from a couple miles of line fence. He even had 2 helpers running a chain saw for the big trees and a grapple on a skid loader to move brush.

You said the two best words I want to hear when I did the few ponds I did on the ranch and my last acreage. The contractor would ask how deep do you want the pond?? I would answer “Very Deep”!! Hahaha. I always wanted trout in them except for drinking water. We were able to eliminate the use of our last pond we used for drinking water quite a while ago so that had small trout in it as well!! Haha. The kids, nieces and nephews, crews’ kids, and a lot of adults enjoyed even fishing for the little ones. It was private stocked and private land so they could keep whatever they could use. Nothing like a nice little 12” trout fried in a cast iron pan with butter and onions, carrots, whatever and done over an open fire! Anyways. Like I said, Very Deep!! Haha.
