This is what gets on my NERVES. I barely wear makeup, I just started wearing lipgloss and eyelinerlike, a few months ago. But it's so dumb! As someone who is growing up with the internet; i have developed some insecruites about myself and i am in my teen years (that's all i'm saying about my age) and because i have been exposed to the internet for most of my life i am constintly not eating during dinner or lunch during school, because "If you're too fat then you'll be ugly" and then my doctor noticed and told my mom i was very under-weight for my age so i would have to put on more pounds... but because i was almost starving myself my stomach sorta shrunk so now I can't eat much. When you're a child you shouldn't be worried about the beauty standards, if you are literally starving yourself then society should at least lower the beauty standards for women at lower enough that SMALL CHILDREN are starving themselves don't be like me kids, eat healthy amounts of food and ignore the beauty standards, I may just be some random stranger on the internet, but still; GIRLIES DON'T LISTEN TO THE CRITICISM! BE WHO YOU ARE AND DON'T SUBJECT TO THE BEAUTY STANDARDS, I DON'T WANT SOME PROBABLY VERY BEAUTIFUL YOUNG WOMEN STARVING THEMSELVES OVER A MAN'S OPINION! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL IN YOUR OWN WAY! Read this if you want a healthier mindset: To everyone saying you can never win, you’re lying to yourself. Just don’t listen to the standards you believe society is forcing upon you. I didn’t go a day of school wearing makeup to cover acne. Never regretted it, and I’m proud to now have healthy skin that I would have significantly damaged in school if I wore foundation every day like everyone else. I wore sweatshirts, sweatpants, and sneakers every day to school. Didn’t regret it, because I belt extremely comfortable in those clothes and was able to focus more on school because uncomfortable clothing was not a distraction to myself. I never felt the need to wear more revealing clothing, because I was not focused on finding a partner who focuses on beauty most, and I was instead focused on school. If I ever felt a little overweight, I simply ate healthier and developed better habits. Always strive for healthy, not unattainable (if you naturally don’t have a curvy figure, etc). That’s how I got through life how I wanted, despite everyone around me complaining about how society’s “beauty standards” were constantly limiting theirs. Don’t let yourself be limited and you won’t regret it.

Love this message! I really needed that this evening because sometimes I feel like the prettiest girl alive, yet other times I feel like a whale, haha! One thing though: Doctor Mike said that wearing makeup doesn't actually ruin your skin! It's down to you washing it off as soon as you are done with it and taking care of your skin with some good moisturiser so that it doesn't clog your pores. Other than that, makeup is totally fine and has no long-term effect on your skin. Hopefully this helps someone! Have a great day/evening wherever you are :)
