Thanks for this video 👍🏻 I have some scratches I’ll be working on with those discs. 1st time I’ve seen anyone use those. Tried 400 on the da but it was taking much too long with the cerium liquid. I ordered the diamond discs using the link provided. Happy New Year! 😁👋🏻

The other sandpaper to try is Mirka pads. Often used for polishing bowling balls!

A windshield with the deep wiper scratches was something I had always wanted to repair DIY.

Tools are cheap, but plan on spending half a day or so.

I polished out rock chips in the fog lights on my 968 using the diamond pads and finished with the cerium oxide. Yes, it is very time consuming and messy, but the end result was fantastic. Especially because the units are NLA from Porsche.

At some point I’d like to try this on a windshield. My Irish green 912 has wiper scratches and it’s the original windshield. I’d like to get a scrap piece of glass to practice on first.

I've learned a bit more about polishing glass since I made this video. Instead of using the diamond discs I found the Abralon pads work better. There are other videos that use these. They are better at feathering in the sanded areas versus the clean glass. Check them out. 180, 500, and 1000 grit and then a felt pad with cerium oxide. I may delete this video and make another.
