If they wanted to make laning phase more impactful, this really ain’t it. Make catch up exp not as strong so you can *actually* set your opponents behind when you get a kill. Introduce the mythical practice of “managing your minion wave”. Make the minions give more gold so when you make an enemy lose a whole wave they’ll be at a more significant disadvantage. Make the lanes a touch longer and wider so that people can’t just sit under your tower and run away scott free whenever your jungler comes to gank them. Plenty of better ways to empower players in their laning phase imo. Unfortunately those are all things that would upset the casual players, so I guess random loot boxes it is..

I disagree with this, the game is already highly snowbally and the amount lost when dying is potentially incredibly huge. We can NOT I repeat NOT have more gold in the game, to make minions give even more gold would in effect cause less roaming, less ganking (because camps would also need to give more) less life on the map in general because everyone would have to stay with their waves always.... Now argument could be made about the catch-up exp, but personally I do think the game is enough snowbally as it is because of the insane amount of gold given out, the only way they could potentially punish dying more is not having as much of an Ms boost out of fountain

@@jonasfredvik3875 that was just a thought off the top of my head, maybe not a good option, but all I know is that getting a kill and denying minions from a laner isn’t nearly as punishing for them as it should be. I don’t think giving people the ability to get bigger or get two vision fairies or whatever is gonna change that. The turret that shoots plates does, but I feel like they’re not gonna ship it with that amount of dmg so we’ll see..

- the Hexgates are by far the best addition of this patch, especially for objective control, rotations and to make the top lane role feel a bit less insular - I am not a major fan of the randomness of the Hextech lootkit - the changes to Herald are overall fine I guess - Dragons not being buffed when they are so underwhelming right now is concerning - the T Hex doesn't seem to promote any strategic play or plan compared to old Baron buff, it's just a beefy extra body advantage to run down a lane and brawl ARAM-style 24/7 like scrubs - Light and Ruin items going away is fine, they were utterly game-breaking at release, yet if they keep majorly reworking half the items each patch they will seriously trigger my OCD with optimising 3 builds for each champion - I guess I could mention the matchmaking system not being addressed well enough yet but it seems an endemic problem at this point Other than that I'm glad they are still putting a lot of effort and some resources into the game and I'm glad they're adding Lissandra, hopefully Sejuani will follow soon after. I understand your point about trying to separate Wild Rift from PC League. I xan respect it and it makes total sense. I suppose I would just want to share what I assume is a minority opinion... I really appreciate how close the two games are and it was the draw for me to start it in the first place. I dont have the time or easy access to PC League but have always wanted to play. Wild Rift gives me that opportunity and I consume a bunch of PC League content too, because its so similar that I can still get value from it. I would be disappointed to lose that feeling. I essentially signed up to play League when i download the game, and that is still the experience I would want and expect. But a lot of the changes seem cool too btw. Not hating on that at all. I just also want a true mobile League experience. 🤷‍♂️

The issue of terrible matchmaking has always been a hot topic but the answer always been there. You either have long queue but better matchmaking or the opposite of either both side. Currently they choose to have shorter queue but worse matchmaking, the only way to solve this is to increase the player. That's it.

The Hexgates allowing easier access to herald for Duo reduces the importance of having 2 people in Duo lane. Ostensibly you had 2 down there because Dragon was the most valuable and you needed people there for it. With the reduced importance and impact of dragon AND the mobility to cross the map I could see a big shift in Supports now frequently jumping between Baron and Duo lanes. So rather than having lanes with 1/1/2 people in them you end up with 1.5/1/1.5 as the Support is now there for more lanes more often.

1. The random lootkit skill is kinda fun it adds more minigame 2. Hexgates finally a mode of mobility to roam and gank not just teleport or walk towards lane but its gonna be annoying whens it live. 3. The new herald and baron will be fun but hell for jg players as well as for soloqeue for next weeks after its release.Goodluck jg players hope we survive the trashtalks we get after not getting all objectives 💀. 4. Lissandra is good but im still waiting for mord 5. Finally they going to stay away from pc items and mechanics and making more unique ideas to wildrift. 6. TBH as a Wild Rift player since day 1 of the game this is by far the *BEST* update I've ever seen Don't get me wrong the only update that i want to see in the game is the Matchmaking system (Even though that they already KINDA fixed it a few patches ago) but so far i still didn't experienced any bad teammates in the game if there's a few at least they're trying their best and not really trolling the game still can't wait for this big update

Will Hexgates be on ARAM too? I feel like this patch is a testing playground for Dragons and the improved Baron and Herald since the Hextech mimic tests how Voidgrubs will be implemented, Also with the T-Hex Baron, they're testing objective riding capabilities and also the Hexgates. Hope they add Patience bars onto Red and Blue too

Hmm, the map animation on the Hexgates makes it look like you're still physically present and thus targetable? Could you fly between gates, fly OVER a Thresh Lantern and then pull to Thresh rather than exit the second gate?

I was skeptical about the T-Hex but after hearing more details about it, I can officially hate it. They're trying to "fix" bad decision making, which is part of strategic gameplay. I doubt this will unify players because this is a mentality/skill issue: If you have bad decision making, you don't deserve to win. Pushing several lanes IS one of many strategies too. Original baron was fine, why turn it into a Lord from ML (a fine but very different game)? Please, devs, for crying out loud, all we want is decent matchmaking. This is cute but solves none of the major problems that are causing players to drop off.

Yay more ARAM less macro. Love this….it will be impossible to balance the mecha. It’s either to op and the game ends quick when you have it or u can crack open one inhib and that’s it. But what this means is that snowballing teams with early game comps will have a harder time to finish. Late game teams with good waveclear will probably win most of the times and games will go up to 35 minutes. Unpopular opinion but this update is a big L
