You don't need genesis weapons to clear normal laboratory. Genesis weapons are required for hardmode. Which can only be activated after you've cleared normal modes

the fishing is luck based what fish you get some times you get 3 raibow and some time you got 0. never got 4 not counting using burley

its not luck lol, you guaranteed get 1 rainbow 2 emerald 5 carps every time, if you cancel fishing or miss out you lose 1 fish.

I think it's guaranteed either way given that you play the event everyday. I'd suggest going for the animals with the most points first so you'll get more value with your weapons though. Not so sure if that's efficient.

How were you able to reach rep lv 40? I have problems with making hu ting weapons , they break quickly and abrasive is hard to get . Am F2P and missed 2 days of the event is it still possible?

if you have rations you can reset the area, to get more of the abrasive, and if you have fishing bait you can get more fish. Make sure you don't use the special weapons on bosses. Make sure you are using sneak attacks, and let the boars run into trees/walls or something because they will get stunned and the damage you do is multiplied. If you have to sneak attack, leave and re-enter to sneak attack again. It sucks and takes longer, but it will take less hits and your weapons will go farther.

u can, 4 day to reach lvl 30 from lvl 14 and 4-5 day to reach lvl 40 from lvl 30

Why can't I "lure" an alligator?... I played the meat... nothing... Dozens of times. I tried killing everything else except the alligators and then placing... nothing...

Actually it doesn't "spawn" an alligator as @Doomeris say, it just "lures" one of the alligators. So if you always killed all the alligators first, no wonder placing a meat there does nothing.
