The scene at 3:55 was one of the most iconic scenes of all time for You Can’t Do That On Television, or Nickelodeon as a whole. The moment Moose got the rainbow of slime!
@kootunesscrewy2 жыл бұрын
Out of all of the slimes, the light green slime was actually Nickelodeon's favorite. In which, that one became their iconic staple over the years. (Though, sometimes, I wish it was orange. Considering that their logo is literally orange, lol.)

@@randallwhalen3239 And I remember she posted a pic of Green Slime in her fridge that she made with her kids. I can imagine when she opened the fridge when her kids were young and she saw the Green Slime, she probably gulped nervously and had a shiver go down her spine, thinking: "They are gonna dump that on me as soon as I say ...(gulp) the words." And I'm sure they dumped her with it.

I'm amazed at how well they act surprised at being slimed. I'm sure they know it's coming, but they act so well, their expressions don't show it! Most of us would flinch knowing that slime or water was about to be poured on us. I wonder if they ever had to do re-takes on sliming?
@christopherbubb2890 Жыл бұрын
Sometimes they did if there was a camera shadow or something during the shot. Some kids did flinch when they were slimed but it was kept in the show anyway. For example, Vanessa in the "multi-colored" slime scene here hadn't been given the "directions" on what to do when being slimed (they were supposed to look up, even though Christine and Lisa very often didn't). They still let her have the "slime bonus" even though she wasn't technically the one getting slimed.

It’s because quite a few people in Canada 🍁 are brainwashed by the nonsense and silly propaganda, but most people such as myself,don’t buy into this because it’s a joke and two most people just want to be their own people with their own thoughts and beliefs, and don’t want any part of the Marching Sheep mentality that some people choose to follow and believe in.This was a harmless and fun show and never felt it was disrespectful in any way. I will never understand why some people get upset over a television show that isn’t real life…

There were only a few who were ever on the show and most of them appeared in a very limited number of episodes. Brodie Osome appeared in 19 episodes between 1981 and 1986. According to IMDB he also wrote a couple of the episodes of the show. Carlos Braithwaite appeared in 15 episodes between 1989 and 1990. Nick Belcourt appeared in 6 episodes between 1989 and 1990. Angie Coddett appeared in 6 episodes between 1981 and 1984, and Klea Scott appeared in 5 episodes between 1982 and 1984. On the whole your point is still well taken.
