@@GaryChambers-p5m These girls (and guys) infuse the song with a freshness that is all their own. They breathe a new life and energy into every cover they do. The Beatles haven't actually 'done' much since 1970 and although it's almost sacrilegious to say so, not every succeeding generation since then are fans. Which is why superb musicians like the ML twins are doing a very worthwhile job of presenting Beatles songs, very respectfully but in their own vibrant way.

They are great. Something about that earlier sound it was just innocent and free spirit. I have not seen one single female vocalist replicate the old classic rock tunes until I ran into these two girls. They rock!

You know what's impressive here is that these aren't Beatles' imitators or a tribute band, but genuine covers, capturing the excitement of the originals and adding something different, notably the female vocals, offering a new dimension to songs you've probably heard hundreds of times. It's a difficult thing to pull off, but they do it with class.

A good example of what you're saying is the really refreshing and unique guitar solo. I'm not familiar with the original song, so I don't know what the original solo sounded like, but this solo was really a style that I had never heard before - terribly refreshing to listen to.

When I saw The Beatles in Sydney Australia, June 1964, this was the only song that could be heard above the screaming. And then, only the chorus. But hearing this played so well on hallowed ground brings a shiver to my spine. Wonderful.

I'm told the original Cavern Club was destroyed to make way for a metro, and the original bricks sold off back in the 1970-'s as memorabilia The new, rebuilt club is not on exactly the same spot, although close to it.

It's no the original Cavern and the band is is not the Beatles, but the electricity and joy of their performance is pure magic. Anything by the MonaLisa Twins is definitely worth checking out.

It's so true.. this is on the surface a rather simple song, but the Beatles had a way of putting in a few twists that make it great. And what a great performance of it by the Mona Lisa twins! They get it :-)

Great comments all. These two are great fun to watch as they produce very good music. Aside from the wonderful rendition, it was nice to see this done at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. My wife and I have visited the club a few years ago and the added joy of being where the Beatles actually played made this performance feel that much better.

The Beatles were musical geniuses, and they had such a gift, and a talent that was very unique and exceptional. They worked together so well in their songwriting, playing together, and singing together.. And there was no other band that came even close, except for The Rolling Stones.

Growing up in Chicago I was 11 years when I saw the Beatles first appearance on tv. Even at that young age I was struck by their energy and playfulness. They really looked like they were having fun. Now at 67 I have run across your videos and I’m happy to see that not only are you spot on musically but you also bring that sense of happiness and energy to your performances.

Being a twin also, I can relate to Mona seems a lot more enthused but Lisa is as well. Lisa does not burst out as Mona does and that is just fine with me. Lisa is more huggy/touchy with Mona, if you have not noticed. Both girls are a joy to me as I can relate 100% to them. Check Lisa's reaction at the end in this video. Not since the Beatles, has anybody been able to do that. The MonaLisa Twins are doing it, and not only with covers, but their originals are just as good, if no better. 100 rocking shows at the Cavern. Whew! You Can't Do That! but the MonaLisa Twins can. Who says today's music isn't good? You just have to know where to listen.
