@RealHomeRecording if they don't offer that retro game on moden consoles to buy or no way of paying the developer who originally made the game then it isn't stealing plain & simple its preserving the games. Thank god for emulation!!!!! Or else alot of those games would just disappear in oblivion........

I’ve been finding cool stuff locally for about $5-15 a game. Resellers stilll asking $150 for marvel vs capcom 1 or 2 are smoking crack thinking gamers will still pay that much when the new ports are good enough.

The Dreamcast ports might still go for $100+ but that may just be wishful thinking on my part as I bought both not long before the new port released lol

What I do is I create a bundle of games with a console. Price the games at $2 of value each within the bundle (if they are $7 or less with free shipping on eBay), while scraping 20-30% off the top of the console's value. If you have say... 20 bunk games, that becomes a $100-110 sale. And the person whos buying always feels happy. I do this with PS1, PS2, OG XBOX, XBOX 360 and Wii.
@dianagoodbody68328 күн бұрын
Anytime I see these bundles and see the list of games, it is usually a bunch of junk sports games that no one wants (Tiger Woods), plus one good game. I always pass those up because I don't want a bunch of junk! I would rather simply get the game I want complete in good condition :)
@RealHomeRecording7 күн бұрын
As a buyer, I prefer that because these shipping companies are a rip-off. Buying separate games adds up to huge shipping fees.
@RetroSho7 күн бұрын
@@dianagoodbody6832 Yeah, you're not wrong about that! And it's just as well if you pass it up. Is not for everyone to be sure. I always mix it up with sports games as well as playable decent titles (PS1, PS2, OG XBOX, 360). Very easy to do on PS2. Much harder to do with the Wii, but instead I'll add in a bunch of accessories.
@RetroSho7 күн бұрын
@@RealHomeRecording Agreed. It's rough on the buyer when it's one title at a time. Better off going into a local store and putting in the extra fees into gas money.
@TenshiHinanawi-uq3oy9 күн бұрын
Mechwarrior is a game used for jailbreaking xbox consoles it will always have some value, that WWF game might be useful later for a similar reason, Alien (also developed by Acclaim) on the PSone had some flaw which allowed burned games to be booted. Vice City is a game you ought to keep for emulation on PC, assuming you have a disc reader to dump/play it. I prefer console versions of games to PC ones sometimes because they can't be taken away or negatively patched, like with GTA ports removing music through updates.
@oOignignoktOo18 күн бұрын
Vice City for PS2 is a hard sale because the game exists on soo many platforms and it's now remastered so the original PS2 version is a hard sale unless you really want the music tracks that aren't cut from the game's later releases.
@Turk_20232 күн бұрын
The remastered versions are trash though compared to the ps2
@oOignignoktOo12 күн бұрын
@@Turk_2023 to normies and casual collectors that doesn't matter though. Die hard GTA fans know the originals are better just for the fact the music itself is untouched unless you play the patched pc ports.

@scourdx10 күн бұрын
Local sellers are offering bundle deals or promotions like buy two, get one free on games. They realize they won't make a huge profit individually, so bundling or giving away extras makes it more appealing. Plus, online platforms like eBay, Amazon, and Mercari take a cut, which leads sellers to raise their prices. Unfortunately, this doesn't really match the reality since many buyers aren't serious collectors.

you've got to have a lot of fools in your area to not take good games like that especially for free. You can get a wii for like $30, many of which will play gamecube games (not all wii though), and PS3 fat for 50-70 that can do PS2 if not a ps2 for $20-50. For how many games there are and how cheap such systems go for they're a very good bang for the buck. In my area i RARELY see games save for some sports games and a few extremly common games or shovelware (especially on wii. But even THAT is rare for my area, people would resell or collect things like that here. in a heartbeat. Unlike Blu rays i can often find ones from this year a few months or a year or 2 later for $3 each. Then again at least one of my Salvation armies acts like a Goodwill does (even lists on Shop goodwill according to a friend that lists there). Save for the cheap or bulky things, So for me, even in the non holiday season its slow and hard to find games used. Though some do pop up in garage sales (even that's getting worse with the city doing a annual city sale with a large city that is impossible to cover more than about half of in the time allowed. And everyone saves their stuff for it since its free to do.

Many are gonna find out when they go to sell and nobody wants it. eBay and Mercari are saturated and expensive. I tapped out awhile ago. Unless you really want to play a game and are willing to take a pounding in the Azz id only pay a few dollars.
