As a (much more casual) achievement hunter, I'll be quite annoyed if there's an impossible to get achievement. I figured the cracked egg was just yet another secret pet, not a bug to be exploited.

I updated my game on steam but I saw this video and logged in on my iPad and got the achievement! Hopefully that helps anyone! Also it makes sense why when Axe hound killed it it still summoned a cracked egg
