Aimee whelan 100% it's all Katy. After John Mayer emotionally abused Taylor, she wrote a song about it which hurt his public image. A few years later when Katy started dating John, her goal was to repair his public image by publicly dating a popular pretty woman that America likes. Taylor could have been mildly hurt by that, but I doubt it was the reason she dislikes Katy. The real problem happened when Katy called up Taylor's dancers in the middle of The RED Tour and said "I want you to come work for me right now instead". So with that the dancers took off, an unprofessional move on their part and Katy's. When you hire people for a tour, you expect them to stick around the entire time, and it was really only two more months that they would be on it (and it's not like there aren't THOUSANDS of other talented dancers she could've hired). Taylor was already being treated like a doormat that everyone walked all over in 2013 from all the slutshaming she faced after dating Harry Styles, so this was just another instance since Katy had no regard for Taylor's feelings. Taylor felt really betrayed, so she wrote a song about it.
