I love how Astarion's fanmade asmr are almost always voicelines clipped together from the game instead of someone trying to do his voice, because no one is capable of recreating Neil's amazing voice acting.

I can certainly appreciate anyone trying to voice Astarion for their videos, but you're right. I can't listen to those ones because they're just not...him. It's gotta be Neil for me!

Neil is and always will be the best Astarion, but I have to say that the closest approximation I've heard is Phasmid ASMR. He did pretty doggone good.

Actually had to take a hot moment to stop the video once he started crying, I've never heard that audio without the loud soundtrack in the background and needless to say it FLOORED ME 😭😭😭

Best I’ve seen so far. Thanks for all the time and effort put in. I wish there had been more interactions for him to adjust after the Cazador confrontation. He gets no time to recover or process until boom he’s ready to sleep with you again no problem…

Yes, I agree! The graveyard scene is beautiful and one of my favourites, but I always wanted a chance to comfort him after Cazador.

@@HeleneTheCleric Yes mine too the scene is excellent. Also wish you could hug him when he collapses to his knees and cries out after killing Cazador or at least put a hand on his shoulder to show him you’re there for him or something. This guy needs so many kind words and support. And lots more hugs.

I have finished my 5th run and every time I have faced Cazzy together with Astarion and did the persuasion check I naturally rolled a success and it feelt incredibly good seeing that. I´ll protect him. We protect him. Thank you for this lovely asmr. ♥

Oh, I just read your video description. Honestly? Its all fully understandable. Emotions are complex and sometimes hard to fathom. I simply want to enable you here with this: If you feel like doing something and it feels right, dont think too much about what others think. You can never please everyone in a group. This video (your idea) is very much what I have imagined after the fight, plus some other additional wholesome things, simply taking care of him. But to each their own what they make of it in their heads! Our fantasy is a place free of others judgement if we let it. It can be a safe space in my eyes. If Star was real I would like to gently train that into his brain over time. I think this was called "Affirmation", while he remains himself. There was always a lot of parts that stood out for me that told me "This is me, please see me for I am right here." The switching from performing and being himself back and forth was very notable to me from the beginning. My mind is taking all this and more to another level; I´m trying to put real life assets into his world and vice versa. How would I approach him? How would he react? To put it simple. I like lingering on thoughts like these; i never talk to anyone about it really. But thank you again for this lovely post and thank you for whoever read this.

I remember feeling this exact same way and when my husband got home from work a little while after, I couldn’t tell him exactly what happened because I was ahead of him in the game but told him I finished Astarion’s quest and needed to hug him in lieu of being able to hug Astarion. 😅🥲 (Luckily my husband is the reason I got into BG3 bc he loves D&D and introduced me to it, so he was very understanding. 😅)
