Tank feature: If you hover over a tank, you can command the nearest 2 troops or so to hide behind it or hop on top. They will get the protection of about half a maxed trench

you should also make this an option, you can make the troops walk slow with the tank so they are protected.

Suggestion: BAYONET CHARGE it’s an ability you can unlock through medals and when activated causes 80% or all riflemen to clog in a charging mode, this will include increased speed and dodging of bullets, and they get an charging bonus when they clash, it would cause some units to run away in fear or retreat and cause all the other riflemen to combat the opposing riflemen to THE DEATH

Hero idea : you could have different commanders that make factions unique. You could also have deployable heros that where heros in ww1; ex : the unkillable soldier, the lady of the dark. (Sorry for any spelling mistakes) :)

Here's a couple suggestions: 1 make it a choice for machine gun nests to either upgrade defense or to upgrade damage to allow armor piercing (extra damage to tanks) 2 Add a Grenadier or Engineer infantry type. Grenadiers throw grenades that deal splash/aoe damage. Engineers can lay mines as they cross between trenches or put up barbed wire to hinder or funnel enemy infantry.

I have an idea. Since you can pick your troops,vehicles and bombs,that means you can add more troops,vehicles or possibly bombs like a "Military Jeep" summons random troops (Time depends on how good the troop is). Also for troops you can add like "Scouts" troops that have high speed but low durability or "Medics" heals troops that come near it. (Basically like an "Officer") For bombs you can add like "Cluster Bombs" One of the largest area coverages of bombs.

SUGGESTION: 10% chance of headshot insta kill? SUGGESTION 2: In the research tree maybe add an option for AP rounds for tanks and artillery. SUGGESTION 3: Medics SUGGESTION 4: Calling in reinforcements, for example: the Americans and the Astrohungarians etc...

Looks amazing! only problem i see is the machine gunner is to easy to pick off, it needs a buff, it should do more damage to infantry and have a bonus damage to larger groups. Machine gunners should be feared but from what i saw in this video not so much they die way to fast.

I think you should give the snipers the K-bullets because then the player would have to make a decision: Do I use the sniper for it’s intended purpose? OR: Do I use it on tanks ? As anti tank rifles aren’t really that effective against infantry. An example of a british light tank is the Mark V but without their 6 pound naval guns, they have machine guns instead. The other option for the snipers upgrade branch should be the ability to target specific units like an Officer or a Flamethrower over, say, a Rifleman.

Idea: so you want nations right, well why not add some nations like Serbia, and Bulgaria, not the main ones like Russia Germany Austria-Hungary, and whatnot, also the terrain, there can be things like rocky mountainous terrain but also flat lands, there can also be forts and destroyed houses your troops can take cover in, I wish to see this come true, also for units, germans should have the tankgewehr or MP-18 and the British should have, I guess the brits would have an assault unit, the Russians would have the cossacks who have high mobility and CQC, the Americans would have the Harlem Hellfighters, also add grenadiers to the game, please,

the problem with the russians, ottomans and austro hungarians is not much in the way of tanks, so you would have to have lots of armoured cars instead.

Hi Baron! A few ideas for your game! - The German light tank was called LK 1 - The British light tank was called the Whippet. Both of these tanks were only equipped with machine guns which could replace the light tank - Maybe add a grenade upgrade to your shotgunners to make them great assault troops. To balance them you could make their range shorter. - You could add selections in your trench to only send certain types of units. For example, sending your shotgunners and rifleman over the top while keeping your snipers behind. - Consider adding planes! Love this game! Keep doing great work!

Normal german tank would then be a7v and heavy would be k wagon, but then, the german tanks would be extremly strong, cuz k wagon was double lenght of mark 4 with 6 heavy cannons, several machine guns, and even flamethrowers

I have an idea for tanks: to make it so that when destroyed, the crew had a chance to survive and fight with pistols or whatever the tankers used at that time and the wreckage of tanks could temporarily serve as a cover for the infantry.

The MK4 had a armoury inside it filled with rifles and the lewis guns could be dismounted from the tanks

One problem with that, different tanks had more or less crew. Ex. The A7V has over 20 crew, while the mark V had only 6

Make branches within the units. Like one sniper path makes them deal more damage against tanks and another fires at a faster rate Edit flamethrowers should have a high chance of exploding on death or have a chance of exploding every time their shot

You should add: A general, that you get when you max your hq, it should just be a unit the spawns rifle men or whatever you want. You can only get 1 It can only spawn a curtain amount of units just to balance it And it gives buffs to the units around it. And in the upgrade tree you can make him better, (spawn more soliders, give better buffs, look cooler). Thx now have a great day

I have a good idea. How about instead of a fixed single upgrade, you have to pick between 2. For example, snipers could get extra range OR get anti tank rounds. Another interesting thing you could do with this idea is that they could have downsides for each route (AT rounds make them move slower and extra range makes them not be able to see up close). Just some others could be bayonets and body armor (extra hit, nothing too op) for rifle men or Biopods and grenades for LMG's. Ofc u can change these but these were my main ideas

Make the units spread out in a trench so that your army doesn't get killed by a single artillery barrage.

I would suggest you also make the shotgunner a selectable unit Additionally I had the idea of a unit (like a saboteur) that can steal tanks like the Germans loved to do Zeppelins also played a major role during ww1 so maybe also consider adding them to your game

There should be an encampment update to where if you hold a trench for long enough, you can build tents behind it and you can spawn riflemen from there.

Hey Baron, since you are close to release, I’ll make one more request.Since the Russians didn’t have advanced technology, if you add the Russians, could you perhaps include some sort of cavalry unit for them as a way to compromise for their poor advancement.

Or some infantryman can survive gas without an officer like the dead men who survived and they would confused the enemy then can bayonet as many before the confusion run out.

Regarding your ideas of mortars etc, how about you make them exclusive to a) nations or b) trenches. For example, the middle trench can have a minefield that you can buy. The first trench that is available to you can have a mortar rather than a machine gun etc Also, how about u implement a fog of war in the back lines and you can buy a reconnaissance plane to remove it? Or even have it as an upgrade for your artillery that it becomes more precise when a plane is active

At a unit called the engineer which can repair Sandbags, have to be there to build the bunkers for The MGs and to upgrade trenches. They could also place Mines. They could even make new Sandbags! And one thing rather than mortar artillery, you could do a minesweep which would have a certain area of search. Mines or maybe AT Turrets could help with tanks. Also, for troops meant for a specific faction. Make the German “SturmTruppen” or “Stormtrooper” which were elites who had colored helmets and even used MP 18s. Maybe you could make the Stormtrooper as a German unit with an MP 18

I found some information on the mark1. The British Mark I was the first ever tank to see combat. Male tanks had sponsons, each one mounting a 57mm, six-pounder gun. Female tanks, on the other hand, each mounted two cumbersome sponsons, designed to carry two Vickers, water-cooled, heavy machine guns instead, with tiny escape doors at the back.

Hey dev team I personally think a british light tank would be the vickers mk 6 ton, a quite small humble vehicle and for ze Deutsch the Leightkampwagen Mk2. Great game guys keep it up!

I have 2 ideas 1. If you go down the root of adding K-bullets as an upgrade you could also add a scope upgrade increasing the range 2. you could then have flamethrowers be mustard gas and add a wind mechanic then they can be upgraded into flamethrowers. Either way this games looking great looking forward to playing it 😊

The second one about changing flamethrowers to gas does not make any sense in terms of a historical perspective. Gas was delivered mainly by artillery shells or by the opening of gas canisters in front of one’s own trench allowing the wind to drag it over and down into the enemy trench

Flamethrowers did not use mustard gas. Mustard gas was used as a chemical weapon.

I don’t see why you’d go from a chemical weapon into a normal flamethrower seems like de-progression in my opinion. Also that’d be historically inaccurate for a game attempting to show traits from ww1.

You should add an all units mode where you can mess around with all the units at once because in games where you have limited choices per level or mutuality exclusive features there can sometimes be really fun combinations that you miss out on.also maybe give artillery barrages more like hits because they don’t seem to be very useful at the moment so giving them like 5 hits will greatly increase their utility against entrenched units

Hey Baron!!!! some things I think would make the game more fun include -more in the tech tree -different maps, like a forest where men can hid behind trees -destroyed tanks could be used as cover for like 5 seconds -smoke (could be grenades or artillery) - wind that could blow the gas a little (im iffy on this) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR AMAZING VIDEOS!!!!!! Suggestion - Perks/Traits for your player at the start of a battle. For example, 10% higher accuracy but slower troops by 25%

Hey Baron, there is one question/suggestion I have. So currently it appears that when you are moving troops between trenches you are always all in with how many troops you move. So will there be a way to limit how many or what troops advance to the next trench?

Hey baron and I have an idea 💡 you should be able to upgrade your base out of game and evolve your tanks from World War I tanks to World War II tanks. I think that would be a great idea.

IDEA] the anti-tank unit would have its own research tree, wich would increase the damage etc. The 1st upgrade would give the AT unit camouflaage, making it harder to spot by snipers and other units. the 2nd and (possibly) final upgrade would turn the unit into an ANTI TANK gun. i think its a cool idea, and would be nice if it made it into the game

I have some ideas...Make the trenches have upgrades that can make them wider bigger and curvier. Make a plane unit that can make bombardments, and it would be cool if there would be an upgrade for the trenches that goes like this: to be a bunker inside the trench. Also you should for the enemy planes make an AA gun mount. The maps can also have more details, like mountains different colors and a bigger map would be cool.

Maybe you should add it so that some soldiers will surrender? I think it's a really underrated detail in games. Also, theoretically, you could now do a triple-tank push.

Things to add: 1: Rocket launcher unit 2: Online 1v1 3: Russian Missile tank (maybe it would cost more then the other tanks or something) 4: flamethrower tank maybe 5: a little number under or above the trench to see how many units are in the trench 6: have gasmasks an upgrade for the officer

You seemed to have mentioned faction specific units if I'm correct. If so, I have an idea for a German unit. This unit is well known as the German Stormtrooper were specialist infantry soldiers of the German Army. They were trained to use infiltration tactics and were armed with the new grenades and submachine guns. So this German unit would be the submachine gun unit for the German faction as well as a mobile unit. Love the videos, keep up the good work!

I think a trench upgrade should be having fake dummy heads like paper mache heads from World War 1 which were used to trick snipers I think that would be awesome and would be a really cool skill you have to learn

1) have you considered asymmetric balance - giving faction specific units, like tanks difference in certain skills? 2) light armor at the time would be armored cars, as tanks were completely new thing all together

I think that’d be complicated and hard to balance. It’s a good idea but the balancing would be hard as one would be better than the other if they go too in-depth.

@@ry1023.3 the idea is to make some units better on one side vs the other... for example giving british mk4 tank better anti armour capability (2 main guns) vs german a7v being more anti infantry (as they had like 5-8 mgs and were not always equipped with artillery cannon)

Make it so you can buy a tactician that stays in your base and lest you control a small group of soldiers(like 5) When your men retreat, fire super inaccurate shots backwards towards the attackers RPG/anti tank unit A spy unit, will tell you where artillery will come in or something like that and/or can deceive the enemy and do damage to the enemy base or make enemy artillery strike the wrong place Maybe, if possible, some sort of bunker down animation. Commando/paratrooper ability. Call in soldiers behind enemy lines. Wooded maps. Soldiers hide behind trees and in small ditches. No trenches. Some sort of ability that cuts off supply lines. Basically not letting you call in troops for a few seconds. When you charge, some soldiers could go into the trench and do some mele combat. I mean they have bayonets for a reason. If you have an officer, he could give orders when you do things like, when you charge an enemy bunker he could have a little does he bubble that says “CHARGE!” Or “RETREAT” When artillery is coming down he could say “INCOMING” “GET DOWN” Or yell “FIRE” when enemy troops attack your trench.

I have come with suggestions. 1. Infantry; Experience/Veterancy: Maybe a way for them to get veterancy after raiding trenches, such as surviving 2 trench raids and in exchange, getting a boost to their survivability due to their experience. 2. Infantry; More Assault Units: As of now, the shotgunner and flamethrower are the only two assault units and that may lead to an issue with diversity. Maybe adding an assault unit that uses SMGs like the MP18 or Huot Automatic Rifle for another assault troop, being able to fire fast and switch targets at a faster rate but having a higher chance to miss. 3. Abilities; Artillery: With the shell counts per battle being over a million, maybe add research to increase the amount of shells fired from Artillery, or increase the explosion radius. 4: Abilities; Tanks: Tanks normally helped infantry push enemy trenches. For this, I would suggest making infantry that push out of trenches with a tank nearby keep pace with the tank which should boost both the tank and the Infantry's survivability. 5. Environment; Terrain/Weather changes: Tanks often got stuck in mud or craters, as well as craters being used as temporary cover for infantry. Artillery could create craters which would act as cover for infantry and obstacles for tanks, and this would also give tanks a reason to not travel in a completely straight line. With rain, mud would reduce troop unit speed, and make tanks slower with a chance to get stuck in the mud. It would also fill up craters with water which results in them being unusable after a certain amount of time. 6: Infantry; Engineers: These would be the workhouse of the army. Rather than upgrading trenches directly, you could deploy engineers who would then upgrade the trenches which would make it cheaper than just paying directly but the engineers are always at risk of being sniped, having sniper priority(?) over any other unit except officers. They could also be the ones to build the machine gun nests, and even the ones who operate them, giving them multiple uses. They could also construct fortifications outside the trenches although that might be harder to code than just letting them upgrade trenches and machine gun nests. 7: Targeting; Priorities: On the topic of targeting priorities, There would be different priorities for snipers during war. The list being from most valuable to least valuable: Officer, Engineer, Sniper, Machine Gunner, Flamethrower, Shotgunner, Rifleman. Tanks would automatically take highest priority due to being the most dangerous thing on the battlefield during an enemy assault. 8: Infantry; Morale: Obviously, seeing multiple people die isn't the best way to keep your spirits high. When infantry die near other infantry, they should lose morale, and after a certain point they should become demoralized, giving them a stat penalty and a higher chance of not surviving combat with the enemy. While it could lead to a domino effect, it also emphasizes actually replacing units with fresh units. Units with Veterancy are more immune to these effects but still experience part of them. Let me know if I should change anything.

Suggestions: (sorry for my bad english in advance) hvae a more or less general reaserch/ upgrade tree for stuff like bayonets, maybe unlocking diffrent units , or upgrading/ unlocking the ability to upgrade your defences and then some special path or seperat tree for individual units. And the units on the roster could maybe be like basic riflemen, 1-2 assult units ( for example shotguns), 1-2 support units ( ie officer), 1 amored, 1 misc with diffrent abilitys on the right. Suggestions for individual units/ other stuff: -barbedwire (non cosmetic) ( maybe unlocked by upgarding trenches or like the machinegun) -poison gas canisters/ containers ( also maybe unlocking arty/ abilitys in by reaserching) - ( engeniers to maybe upgarde the trenches, build machinegung emplacements ,building barbedwire, other defences) -( sniper nests ) -( artilery bunkers ) -( mutualy exclusive unit upgrades ( at rifels, beeing faster, bayonets, ... ) Faction stuff: Maybe having not a faction specific unit but something like a nation specific modifier or having a diffrent type of unite for the types maybe diffrent factions have some changed stats for some units ( maybe havyer amored tanks, or trading range for damage for some factions)

a lot of ideas here: landmines: if you have an adjacent trench you can place landmines that will be invisible to your enemy until they explode when walked on landmines2: there should be AI landmines(anti-infantry) and AT landmines(anti-tank) Fog/Night: you could add a FOW for night and fog Fix Bayonets!: have an ability called fix bayonets where if used all the riflemen will put bayonets onto their rifles and when they next charge will move faster than usual and attempt to go into melee with the enemies squad spawning: have it so that some expendable units like the riflemen can get spawned in a group of like 3,4 or 5 through upgrades in the tech tree supply: have a supply line fuelled by a horse or something to bring rations to soldiers which can be killed by the enemy or recruited by the player rations: have it so that if soldiers don't get rations then they will start to slowly lose health and eventually die of malnutrition wounds: depending on where they get shot soldiers will lose a certain amount of health, accuracy and/or moral health: if health hits zero then the soldier will die accuracy: if accuracy runs out the unit will no longer hit any of their shots or they will stop shooting altogether moral: if moral runs out then the unit will become scared and flee to the previous trench or will desert the battlefield altogether. aircraft: make fighters and bombers to give aerial assistance Bombers: Bombers will drop bombs from the skies on your enemies periodically fighters: fighters are the only way to get rid of Bombers and can also destroy enemy fighters rain: when raining the moral of all troops will begin to drop very slowly and all units and tanks will be significantly slower burial: dead soldiers will remain on the battlefield until you take the trench in front of it at which point you can bury the soldiers which will remove them from the battlefield and restore moral however if dead soldiers are left on the battlefield then it will begin to drain at the moral of the soldiers propaganda: make an ability called propaganda that restores moral and makes the enemy look more evil in the eyes of your soldiers gas mask: have it be that when you have an officer then you can use an ability to put on or take off gas masks gas mask2: when wearing gas masks accuracy is reduced by a certain amount Countries: a few countries I would like to see are France, Russian Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, Italian Empire and Communist Russia all able to fight certain countries e.g. Austro-Hungarian Empire would be able to fight with France, Russia, Italy, and the British Empire but not with the German Empire or Communist Russia trench/Machine gun upgrades: when upgrading the trench a few of the men in the trench and/or the Machine gunner will stop firing at the enemy and take out hammers/shovels to upgrade the trench before firing again once upgrades are complete and they take their guns back out officer range: make the officer's firing range significantly shorter if not then equal to everyone else/ the shortest firing range trench firing: when the trench is getting attacked then the soldiers in the trench won't need to aim before firing on their first shot unless it is night or fog Country bonuses: have bonuses for different countries for example the British Empire could ignore the water speed penalty for infantry or have it reduced for all troops and The German Empire could have more powerful artillery trench building: it would be cool visually if the trenches just started out as little hills used for cover then the next upgrade would be a small trench that would get deeper and better armoured over the upgrades made flamethrower: I think it would make sense for flamethrowers to be weak against tanks as your basically just heating up the outside armour of the tank with a flamethrower

Idea: Combat Medics. How to get: Mabye a its own unit or a upgrade for rifleman like there is a chance for them to spawn instead of rifleman OR rifleman spawn in sqauds and have a medic acompying them What they do: Infantry could survive non-direct hits from explosions or artillery but get injured and unable to fight, medics will bring them back to the base to get a refund or the injured unit is healed Balance: it takes a while for the medics to bring back the injured in a stretcher

Nation/faction feature: each faction has dissabilities and promotion abilities, for example, Germany has a faster attack(blitzkrieg) but can get confused in bad weather (Germanys infantry mainly relied on officers for orders). Another example for Russia (if you add it) is that they have bayonets and a faster movement speed(when the Russian army ran out of ammunition they had a massive charge on the nazis) but a disability could be that they have a hard time defending (they were a massively based army and relied on offense a lot)

Add Tank Traps (Hedgehogs?) as trench upgrades to slow down or stop tanks. This could also be put in as a strategic choice between tank traps- which infantry get through easily- or barbed wire- which tanks get through easily.

A suggestion add the female version of the MK 1 british tank which had 4 vickers machine guns. The male version had 2, 6 pounders. You get to choose whether you want the male version or the female version.

Unit idea: a medic, maybe it would be like an officer, and whenever there is a medic, in a radius around them the troops have more health, or something. Or if you add healing, they heal faster, maybe both at once. Maybe one thing that could happen is a troop can be hurt enough, where they don't die, but fall on the ground, the enemy changes targets, then they can crawl back to the trench, or stay in the trench, and either they can slowly heal on their own, and heal faster when a medic is there, or only heal when there is a medic. and Maybe the medic has a short range for healing, and moves around the trench to heal the different people. Other Ideas: I think you should make a defense option or when troops are defending a trench, they mount their guns on the side of the trench facing the enemy. Maybe it could increase their accuracy and fire rate, and also give rushing an advantage if the enemy has just taken a trench. It could automatically put them on defense mode after like 5-10 seconds without advancing. It would also look better for when there are a lot of units because instead of being all clumped up, they have a clear line to more accurately see how many troops you have. Suggestion: Maybe the craters should stay for the entire game, and they slow down or give fortification to soldiers going over the area. As soldiers in no man's land would use it as cover. Maybe, as well, precision artillery (and/or artillery barrage) should gravitate slightly towards troops, but if they are in the craters, it gravitates less towards troops, if not gravitating not at all.

ideas: you could add an rpg unit that does splash vs normal units and does high damage vs tanks/armoured vehicles A cool idea is having armoured personnel carriers that on death deploys 4 or 5 riflemen. Close Air Support would be a cool feature like a shadow of a plane flys by and a bomb lands sits for a second then explodes and upgrading it could up the bomb load going from 1 bomb to like a carpet bomber.

instead of a upgrade line |||| (example of what it its) *unit* *upgrade* *upgrade* *upgrade* |||| you could make it so for each unit there are two upgrades two choose from --- ex] sniper *++dmg & anti tank -fire rate* or *+fire rate and range -dmg againts heavy units* you get to choose one so u could create a build of sorts

Map idea: You could add different types of maps for various fronts (mountains, forest and plains) Every front could have stuff to make it difficult. For example in the mountains troops are slower tanks are less effective artillery is less dangerous and troops can die of hypothermia ( there could be a research to make snow clothes for troops so they don’t die in the mountains) In the forest there could be more mud, snipers are less effective because of the trees and defenders could have a harder time defending And the plains could be the default one

sugestions: add a map that offers different ships like aircraft carrier, battleships add planes add armour cars that have a machine go on the front. This could be apart of a American faction there should be more upgrades in the tech tree add swampland which slows and weakens tanks if they are in the swampland

Saw the artillery craters from a while back- made me think- craters (or mud?) slow down troops. So artillery has additional effect when you take the risk of using it on a charge.

Make factions with buffs to unit types and different units. Like the Germans buff the flamethrower and chem warfare and one choice for the British should introduce the RAF .

Idea Medics which can somehow heal troops that just died. And repairworkers for tanks that are damaged. And for the idea of making special troops for different nations you can make the german sturmtruppen which were a Kind of tryhards with grenades and shotguns or flamethrowers.

Aircraft: It can send 1 or 2 troops, and maybe a bomb. When destroyed, it gives you 170 stars and 1 medal. Citizen stack: Very cheap. They are good at dodging, and will try to steal guns from the enemy.

You should add reloading and when a soldier is about to reload on trench he ducks down and take cover giving him 2x sheild and add a actual bunker with 2 machine gunners. Edit:and bunkers also have snipers 2 or 3 and health bars.

So I saw that the bases regenerate health. Maybe you can have some form of troop that repairs the bunker which might also put pressure on the opponent to push up to take out the repair men (Maybe the repair men are in the most vulnerable position in front of the bunker). Plus this would make more sense because the bunker has no reason to be automatically regenerating HP.

You should add more types of soldiers then give the player like money or tokens then add a store where you can buy the soldiers and artillary. Then add an inventory where you can equip them.

Upgrade feature: add sappers so you can upgrade trenches and the sapper will have. shovel or a hammer and the sappers will rebuild sand bags and sappers will have a yellow helmet with drit and the germen or British symbol on their helmets

You should have a choice between getting a cannon, sniper nest or machine gunner. The cannon would be good against tanks and vehicles, and the sniper nest would allow you to control an individual sniper.

Very nice game currently! But in my opinion it would be better if you guys also out it in mobile and iOS, I know it's harder to do than PC, But currently the game looks like it should be a mobile game with the style of the buttons.

Maybe you can add planes they will bomb and return to base and make this 3 or until it is dead and planes could get down by another plane or you can add anti air gun.The planes could have their upgrade and make them ace and it could fight better and drop one more bomb.

you need to get nation specific abilities like the germans have a %10 movement speed for tanks and the british get a %15 health boost for tanks

Airstrikes would be cool, they would be very long range but pretty inacurate. Another thing you should consider is stationary tanks, basicly just a tank that dosent move.

A WW1 rts of any kind should have a heavy emphasis on resource management and trade-offs. Trying to split one resource count for every part of your army and build up some kind of specific system for your tactics

Baron it would be great if light tanks could with stand artillery with like 1% healt left so they would be no real danger anymore but they are preaty slow and precision artillery is costing less so light tanks are not wearth the money

Make it so that tanks have to go over a bridge to cross a trench this means you could also destroy bridges to halt incoming tanks until the enemy can afford to re-build the bridge.

i have an idea for the tanks maybe you could make it so if a tank gets destroyed it leaves debris like exploded barrels or destroyed tracks and a explosion when they die. causing soldiers nearby to get knocked away from it as like a stun of some sort
