Dave Please don’t be political and add comments like “left wing nut jobs.” I find it offensive because I am liberal and more “left wing” even though I grew up in a very conservative republican household, and I listen to you often and when you make comments like that it really turns me off. We want to hear and learn about money, not about your political views.

Honest question. How can a liberal support Socialism or condone 55% of Americans not contributing to Federal Tax and expect to be financially independent? Both of those things literally take away your hard earned money and give it to people with less discipline. I'm not trying to be offensive or rhetorical. I've just been raised Conservative most of my life and I'm trying to keep an open mind but some of these ideas just don't make sense to me.

Nope Dave. Nope. We want the same form of handouts and socialism that is given to the rich instead given to the middle class. I love you but look around you, your ideology has failed society. It is social democracy that has saved America in the past, look at the new deal. For a guy who talks constantly about being outrageously generous you really don’t believe in collective societal generosity in the forms of every pitching in to help each other. The problem with Christians is that you only think people who are in your orbit are worthy of help. Your friends, the people YOU go to church with. We believe everyone should get a helping hand when they need it, you don’t need to be a part of our tribe to get it Ps. I love you Dave I just don’t agree with you

Dave's advise:. Drive a ten year old car, eat rice and beans, live in the worst part of town,,never go on vacation, no cable, no cell phone. Save every dime until age 76. Retire a millionaire and somehow enjoy your last ten years of life old and decreped. Ahh, no thanks. I'm in Hawaii right now and when I get home I'm LEASING a brand spanking new car. I'm enjoying life now, I'm not going to live like a vagabond until 76. And I bet I'll be even wealthier than Dave's recommendation on how to invest. I also believe in student loans. That orothopedic surgeon will pay off his $300 K loan in 5 years. But if followed Dave's advise he'd never be a Dr. He'd be making 50k year somewhere, living like a vagabond waiting for 67 to enjoy life.

teeduck I guess you missed the part about making more money? You also missed the part about paying off debt faster so you could have more money to save.
