I think one of the biggest things that has helped me get through, is that whenever I feel like giving up, I imagine Russia holding me and telling me that I'm stronger than this. I can personally relate to him, so its probably why its him I feel the most comfort from. Sometimes a fictional character can be more comforting than a real person in my case. I don't think Himaruya knows how powerful his characters really are, and its because of that, that I'm still alive today. Thank you Mr. Himaruya!

to be completely honest 3 years ago this video specifically changed my life. i have never watched this show but i was a freshman. i was depressed and even considered suicide. this video changed my personality and oddly enough allowed me to discover my talent as an artist because back then i paused this video and drew some stuff i thought was cool. now i'm 17 years old. a senior in high school and i have applied to the school of advertising art. to you who made this I owe the person iv'e become. thank you. for giving me my life back.

I understand the story they're telling now. Ipsrocks278 is right. And there's more, Ivan feels unwanted so he killed people in school and killed himself. Then the pictures of Hungary and Prussia are Prussia trying to save Hungary. In which she throws away the pills and saved a life, herself. Then Austria is the example as to why Prussia stops whatever he was doing and start helping others out. Telling others that we too must join in on the fight to save others. Some powerful meaning in only one song........

i really like how this song gives different types of heroes. it doesn't always have to be you sticking up for someone. it can also be you sticking up for yourself. or it can be making a right choice so the people who idol you don't make foolish decisions. everyone always says to really save lives you need to help everyone else, but that isn't always the case. you have to learn to do that, but help yourself and your behaviour as well.

I loved your use of unlikely heroes. I mean, I was expecting to see america during the chorus as I am very familiar with the song, but it was when I saw characters like Poland and Belgium who aren't usually what I think of when I think hero that it occurred to me they were all heroes. I've been suffering from depression for the past two months, and it hasn't helped any that my English class is reading Tears of a Tiger. Now only in the last couple of days have I been feeling better, but its still tough to get up each day and put on my mask for the world to believe I'm ok. There needs to be more recognition of people, especially those that you see alone or looking sad. You should all be heroes for people like me...say something, ask if we're alright, because it gives us hope.

I just love the power behind this song. And the way you portrayed the characters hit me right in the feels, and I had to stop to think about it for a while, even after the video ended. Great job, really. You never really think about the characters this way until someone does something like this video, and it's interesting to stop and realize new aspects of characters you might have not realized, or new ways for them to seem more human rather than nations.

ive watched the anime and i just love drawing anime, but my family finds every possible time to make fun of me for it and i saw this video and it changed my life! When I was younger, I was bullied to the point where I actually ran away from home because I couldn't take it. It was thanks to people who loved me that I made it through it. Now I'm in a school with a lot of close friends who care and I am no longer bullied. Now a friend of mine is being bullied, so I have been supporting her. I'm not a hero but I will do my best to help my friend because no one deserve that treatement. This video made me tear up a little. Thank you for posting this.

I feel like I can relate to this song. I used to be bullied everyday because I was quieter than the other kids. I tried to put a brave face and accept it all, but it got too much to handle. Then my friend Mattie came along. He would tell the bulliies to go away, sometimes fight them, and then made sure I was okay and wiped away the tears.He's my hero.

The thing about this subject is, most people only care after someone has already lost a life. I've been bullied almost 24/7 when I was in 1st grade. When I moved to a different state, I was bullied once in 3rd grade and someone stood up for me by going after their own friend and screaming at them to apologize to me. Now that I'm in high school, bullying has gotten a lot worse for other people and whenever I can I try to fight back for the person who's being bullied, even though my parents hate it that I stand up for someone else.

This song always makes me cry because I heard it the first time a year ago when it was pretty much the story of my life... after I got better and some friends I've also found out some of them have thought of suicide. Now I've become stronger even if my bullies still try their best, but I won't let them ruin mine or anyone else's life after I saw what it was like. Apart from that, I like the character choices very much. Some pics could be more fitting, but a great video in general still.
