One thing I think is important too is to realize that "The Enemy" isn't an outside force, it's another part of you. It's the part of you that's lonely, scared, angry, depressed, and just looking for an outlet. I think it's critical to look at those bad thoughts and try to understand why you're having them so you can try and solve them and fulfill your needs in a healthy way.
