No ties known (neither any suspected). It's just normal German *bureaucracy.* Domestic laws etc. But it's annoying and very problematic when it hinders the rest of us. That must be a lesson to all of us for future weapon procurements: Don't buy something where it's too restricted what you can do with them, at least not if we let the alliance decide what is allowed or not for members to use their weapons for. I'm sure NATO wouldn't deny individaul members sending tanks to Ukraine.

@Dr.Killmore, TreeRatologist Ruskies don't need to pay Olaf anything. If you look at his past, you'll find that as a young socialist he traveled to DDR. He was meeting with high ranking East German party member Egon Krenz. No regular guy especially from the West would be so privileged. So either Olaf makes decisions based on his comunist past or ruskies have files from STASI on him. Remember that Putin was based in DDR and he took trucks of KGB and STASI files when returning to rashka.

There are some huge German companies in Russia and they did not pull out like all the others did, if they have i haven`t heard of it . Russian bloggers are still showing the business still open. I wish it does work the other side. We must treat Germans like an egg. They have no problem with saying: ""If reactors are built in Poland, we will work with the use of appropriate legal instruments, for me it is obvious" (Steffi Lemke, German minister, 23.02.2022, just before war started). I think it is about time to remind Germans, that their wealth, created by exports, was based on American transpotration and CEE cheap labour, not only brilliant German technology, which, BTW, is not so brilliant any more. Telling them, what is not right is very German - this attiutude is a daily German routine.

When i was in the army if you ran out of (blank) ammo on exercises you were required to shout ‘bang’ when firing. Everyone hated the idea of doing such a humiliating thing so after a contact when we were putting in an ammo report we’d always overstate our ammo usage so the resupply meant there was no chance of ever having to shout ‘bang’. Then on one exercise the day before we were due to extract the extractor spring on our machine gun broke and hq company decided that rather than give us one of theirs we’d just stay in our company perimeter for the day - which was, technically, great because it meant a day of sleeping in our holes. Only problem was the resupply came in and we ended up with a few thousand additional machine gun rounds in belts that we couldnt fire. So we had about 5,000 rounds - around 50 belts of 100. And as the no 2 on the gun crew i had to stuff most of those 100 round belts in every pocket and cranny i had plus carrying a heap of them in bandoleers. These were 7.62 blanks - youd never do this with live rounds belts. Too heavy. Then we did a 20km march out, by the end of which all those rounds had rubbed patches of my skin off in various places under my uniform (you could also hear me jingling from miles away in the dark). When we had our ammo cleared before we got in the trucks at the extraction point i took so long pulling rounds out of my uniform and gear the company sergeant major said he’d come back to take my declaration (‘i have no ammunition or range produce in my possession, sir!’) and never did. Back on base i found a few rounds inside the seams of my uniform, which i then had to declare. Luckily, i never got a bollocking for that and everyone treated it as pretty funny.

Whether right, or not, if a U.S. soldier showed that level of insubordination, egads! Look out. Still, it shows you the level of distress, and uncertainty on both sides of the chain of command that nobody knows what to do. When you get that ballsy to your commanders, you really don't give a duck anymore. Their conditions must be abysmal.

Better ALL of the time, TVP may well be BEST of the West -- and therefore the World -- at delivering accurate news. As for Germany, it is high time to tell them that they will receive as much protection form NATA members as they provide to embattled Ukraine, and no more.

The officer pushed the soldier first and then soldier pushed him back. Both pushes were done with open palm. Neither were injured. In any normal justice system he would not face 5 years prison for that action. The officer acted to goad him into a response, which was achieved. Just a shame soldier didn’t aim at the officer’s face with a closed fist, I’m pretty sure that would’ve decked the little Hitler.

@@marcoherrmann1820 It is not the German people being criticised, it is Olaf Scholz. It is stranger than fiction that ONE random Polish man that Olaf met, made Olaf confirm to himself, that he was right to not send tanks to Ukraine even though for nearly one year Russian soldiers have been raping, torturing, killing thousands of Ukrainian civilians . Is Olaf Scholz on Putins payrol? Could this random man have been a Russian spy and not Polish? Something does not sound right.
