I spent a majority of my youth pretending to be someone I wasn’t. I wanted so desperately to be cool, to be noticed, to be liked..I didn’t like who was staring back at me in the MIRROR. I LIED to sound interesting, I LIED to appear funny, I LIED to get anyone to notice me. I wanted GIRLS to notice me...I was constantly chasing that relationship with ANYONE.. Since 2nd grade, constantly seeking the opposite sex. In 6th grade, I began to think about sex..alot I began to “self satisfy” any chance I got. Looking back at the habits I developed in that mindset...it makes me hang my head in shame. My Grandparents divorced, my parents divorced..it only made sense I was seeking that “intimacy”...any intimacy would do the job.. Habits I developed in my youth, overflowed and poured over into my Adulthood..almost cost me my marriage, my relationship with my children..it almost cost me my LIFE.. 🩸🩸🩸🕊🕊🕊 I don’t write this, in search of pity.. I don’t share this, to tell you a story.. YOU ARE READING THIS RIGHT HERE AND NOW IN THIS MOMENT, because YOU made a choice, to watch this video and scroll through the comments, like you have always done. I've been struggling these past few weeks about my confidence. My insecurities started to attack me and I felt hopeless. I fed up my mind with toxic thoughts and started to compare myself with others. It was really tough for me, I didn't know where to start in overcoming it and this message moved my heart. My dad was a pretty bad person before he got saved, and in his later years he was very ashamed of his position in life because he felt like a failure. He felt he should have been further along if he had lived right from the get go. I always stopped him when he would say things like that and remind him that he had made up a standard of success arbitrarily, and was holding himself to this impossible standard despite Jesus literally dying so that his sins would be paid for. I told him that he wasn't a failure to Jesus, he was a beloved son no matter what amount of "success" he achieved because he was living his life for Christ now. This same thing applies to you and all these random standards you've created to compare yourself to. The only thing that matters is that Jesus loves you more than anyone else in the entire world ever could, and he died so that you could be saved from your mistakes. You are important and valuable and should never judge yourself that way.

Sadie you are one of a kind. My daughter started middle school this year and it is sure different from when my son was in middle school years ago. My babies are spaced 12 years apart. In today’s time I never would of thought she would see and hear all that she has an does. It seems like she is the only one without a phone, but I told her it’s to protect her. W Facebook, tik tok, Instagram, people are so mean Etc, it’s so much drama and I am trying to protect her from it all. Right now we are dealing with a boy who started a rumor about her that is not true. This is not the first incident with this boy and the bad part is that he is our Nextdoor neighbor. My daughter has the biggest heart and her light shines so bright that GOD has put in her. We are having to comfort my daughter who is 11, and should not be going thru this. She knows that GOD will protect her and people will see her for who she is. She was elected homecoming court out of 425 girls, she so humble comes home and says why me? I didn’t do anything. I told her, it’s your personality. You are kind, smart and beautiful and love Jesus and GOD is making sure ppl see that, I bought your book awhile back and I have it to give her for Christmas. I have been waiting for her to be able to understand and soak in all that you have written. This weekend we are going to sit down and start watching you. She loved you on Duck Dynasty and as my husband and I seen your family and their faith, amazed us that the whole family is so together. Thank you for being role models for girls and women. You are preaching in a way for girls to understand, and even as I have been listening to you as a 45 yo I am learning from u as well. GOD created you to spread his word in ways we can understand and you are doing a great job at spreading the word If you ever come to Nashville please let us know, I would love to take my daughter to see you. I used to compare my relationship with God with others by how long they read their Bible and how they Bible journal. So I used to follow a lot of Christian tik tokers and I had to take a break, and it wasn't them it was me. So I unfollowed the ppl I kept comparing myself to and logged off social media for a while. Now I have a time limit on my phone making sure social media won't hurt me mentally. I recommend doing that!! Just living in the moment and taking a break once in a while.

I've listened to this countless times and esp when I'm down and tempting the lies of the devil are loud. Comparison has been a struggle since I was small and I can't say how a blessing this has been in my life in seeing the Great Picture. Glory to God. I believe the Holy Spirit spoke through Sadie. Over the pasted few years, I used to look in the mirror and dislikes myself and; I used to hate myself because I wasn’t beautiful enough. I would compare my spiritual gifts with others. But God has revealed to me how he sees me in his eyes. Now I see how much he loves me; more then the 🌟 in the sky. There’s a saying “You are not wise to compare yourself.” Now I live by the smile of God. 😇

What an amazing sermon. She asked why we find it hard. Well, for one, it’s difficult for women because we are so critical of ourselves. This can turn into us competing with other women abc that’s never good. It’s tiring and doesn’t build anyone up. I think social media has also played a critical role in this and the enemy knows this.
