you can also swing in with your token army and then Galadrim ambush, preventing any tokens dying and doubling the number

Nice deck tech! I also run a token maker deck and definitely can say board wipes are the bane of the deck. Also nice to see people use chatterfangs ability as a but instead of a kill ability

Ok, I just finished ordering the last handful of cards, that I couldn’t find locally, to complete this deck. I’ve added a Nuka Cola Machine and a few legendary lands that I like… but I have SO MANY QUESTIONS! What’s with the snow covered lands?! I feel like I need more! (Context: I last played magic in the 1900’s and THIS is my first commander deck)

You don't need more snow lands- don't worry. The reason we play snow lands in this deck is because we also run Field of the Dead, which creates tokens as long as we have 7 or more lands *with different names.* Splitting our basic lands between normal basics and snow basics makes it easier to control lands with different names (though if you had a bigger budget and wanted to swap out basics for nonbasics, that'd be fine too). After I made this video, I started adding a section to these deck techs where I talk about decisions in the land base like this 😅

Murkwood bats is cool at 4 mana. But i like that rat king from wilds of eldraine. With the fantastic combo of Skullclamp/Bitterblossom. Even at 3 mana I'd rather have two bitterblossom effects in the list than two skullclamp. Cuz you can tutor skullclamp if you have the urza's and worldly tutor the rat king. Sweet.

Yeah 😅 this one was pricier. When I build my decks I try to be more "budget conscious" than "budget focused," though sometimes it's just unavoidable. I've collected all the decks that you could optimize on the cheap into a playlist on the channel if you're interested.

How does Ivy Lane and Scurry Oak not win you the game? It's unlimited and Scurry Oak's power will be unlimited too unless you decide to stop. Get a million squirrels and Scurry Oak up to a million attack and swing directly at opponents.

@TheSnakeInYourBoot You're misunderstanding - unlimited tokens will win you the game...on your next turn. Giving the table a turn to find an answer is not a good way to win the game. Another good example of Infinite tokens that's really bad at winning the game is Midnight Guard+Presence of Gond. Sure it makes Infinite tokens...but only after MG gets off summoning sickness. And those tokens will win you the game...after they get off summoning sickness. When we say a combo "wins the game," we mean it does so *that turn.* Some other combos that don't win the game (at least not without extra steps) include: - Infinite mana (unless you have an outlet) - Infinite lifegain - Infinite +1/+1 counters - Infinite discard - Infinite creature death - Infinite creature ETB - Infinite self card draw But combos that *do* win the game might say: - "win the game" (like Thoracle) - Infinite damage/life loss - Infinite tokens *with haste* - infinite *targeted* card draw
