Exactly this mate. I’m lucky to be 10 minutes from the Peak District but there are green spaces in our city of Sheffield that are gorgeous and have lovely walks with plenty of wildlife if you take the time to look for it.

That’s amazing that you have some great public areas to explore near your house. I’m fortunate to live near Lake Huron in Michigan with some great local parks to explore.

Yeah it's amazing not having to drive and just being able to go from my house. Lake Huron looks incredible bet there's so many good walks.

Yeah, it's easy to take for granted sometimes, I think the most local to me I know of is Good Bloke Outdoors - he's also from Bradford.

Haha, don't ever take for granted your own local outdoor spaces. Despite the snow, I'm seeing open countryside here, plus rivers and canals, and a good walk is not just about mountain views or elevation climbed. I live near Brighton and people assume that's all about the local party beach and a city life, but a 20 minute bus ride gets me to the north side of the city, and then it's about an hour's walk up through greenery on the South Downs, and up to the glorious South Downs Way. In summer, there's also a YHA, with tent pitches at £10 a night. That escape is so different from my home life and working responsibilities in the city or at the beach. Don't run down Bradford either. I have family who are from Shipley. Good luck with your videos in 2025. You are good at putting a story together now, and with great footage. So it should be easy to come up with entertaining new adventures. There's more to life and YT videos than bagging Wainwrights.

Yeah can't agree more, I need to visit down south some time. I've never really been there, but the long drive puts me off. Shipley is only a mile away from me!
