Way befor genysis my recruiter where he should have told me its not in my best interest to tell MEPS everything i put down that i broke a leg at 7 years old. But later on ran cross country in high school. They had me go back and get x ray reports from 1983 in 1997 its stupid and ridiculous. The fact that they are activily in sports should be a clue that these kids are good to go. They could prob pass a fitness test even before going to boot camp

Most people don't realize that. And it has become in my opinion the main problem with the Federal government. The unelected bureaucracy does what ever it chooses. They can even ignore Federal law thanks to the ACA. That bill gave the individual agencies the rights to interpret the laws congress passes it there own way. A good example is the southern border. The federal law requires all illegals to be held in custody until there hearing. There is a parole option available that also has strict qualifications like medical emergencies, or the death of a US citizen family member. But DHS has decided it can give anyone parole, 2.7 million just this year alone. The program became law in 2010. Less than 100 individuals have been given this program from 2010 to 2020. Over the last 3 years 8 million have been given access under this program.
