It's classic moral coercion tactics. For me the script writers got this so RIGHT. He treated her so badly, until she said I've had enough and divorces him. Meanwhile his Mistress has moved on and he is on his own. Even his mother agrees she didn't treat her DIL well. And now she is standing firm and well not accept him back. I think what is missed in these episodes is the length of time that goes by and she still won't have him back and why should she ? For once the script is correct or the writers are females. Well done it is such a good feeling seeing Asian women standing proud and this series has it all.

Was it before Gao Mi humiliated herself completely, begging him to stay with her and not run to his mistress? Was it after that crazy mistress, that he couldn’t live without, broke up with him after trying to kill him? Can I ask what “mistakes” he’s talking about? Continuously cheating on her, verbally abusing her, ignoring her, humiliating her - I could go on. These were “mistakes” but it was his CHOICE to do all of that. He chose to do these things to her. The car scenes substantiated how deep he had been emotionally involved in the mistress. He was willing to risk his own life to compensate her. Didn't he really mean to sacrifice everything in order to comfort his white moonlight? I don't think it is an integral issue to convince their break-up. Mightbe the script writer made contrast for them. The mistress wanted to die if living was without him. He wanted to die if their affairs could be ended up and normal life could be made up. But I still don't think such presentation is convincing.

He did nothing in the marriage, gave nothing only took, he was an emotionless robot who might as well not been there, she deserved a life far better, and unfortunately it took her quite some time to realise her self worth and her daughters was more important and to walk away. I don’t think he was physically cheating with his ex but he was still cheating all the same, and to be honest he looked miserable with her aswell, he felt guilty towards his ex and she was a drunk psychological mess aswell, this guy has serious psychological issues that need fixing. A man must work extremely hard in couples and individual therapy, take complete responsibility for his actions, rebuild the trust and repair the damage. She should be tired. She is the only one who went into the marriage in good faith, the only one who put in any effort or love, while he neglected her and abused her. I’m exhausted on her behalf. Love is not some trap to keep you in a toxic relationship. She can love him from far away, as a memory as she moves forward with her happy life. Maybe meet a new guy who actually loves and respects her.

i dont get it... what is love actually?? why did the girl like him in the first place?? i can only understand simple intentions like getting married for money, safely, getting an heir etc.. i just dont get what love is... i mean you do need a reason to like someone but i heard there is no reason to fall in love.. and people even fall in love at first sight .... im curious if its lust or love?? lust is a simple thing to me .. i would prefer someone said they lusted after me than love me. ... again i have seen mothers kill/sell their kids to survive ... so love aint related to blood connections. its ... like a curse satan put on humans to me. it seems so unreasonable...
