Wrath was my golden years. It can never be replicated because you will never ever find a guild that does blind pulls. Everyone now actively punishes you for not knowing the fights, it's not new content. Also no more LANs with the bros. I also didn't play TBC Classic for the same sentiment; I was in an IRL guild in TBC and we all would meet up for hang outs. It couldn't be replicated. Playing Wrath now would be an uncanny throwback, the opposite of too good to be true, so warped it has to be true.

Vanilla was incredible for first timers. Most people had never played an MMORPG before, let alone raiding. All sorts raided back then because we did it for fun, the loot wasn't even good until they fixed it.

I personally play on a relatively small server, Bloodsail Buccaneers in Wrath Classic. The day the token got added, I checked the Auction House prices on all the level 80 BoE Epics, and came back the next day. Cowl of the Absolute on May 23rd on BSB sold for 1,200 gold, on May 24th it sold for *12,000* gold. The absolute, instant surge in prices was unlike anything I've ever seen. (Though for some reason I checked on Grobbulus (horde side) and the Cowl was only selling for 800 gold.) I'm still going to be playing Wrath Classic, because I just prefer how classes feel in Wrath compared to Vanilla, but the addition of the token has killed any remaining hype I might have had for Cata Classic. (I started playing WoW at TBC Classic, so I was actually very interested in seeing the Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor revamps.) And honestly, this has given me major doubts on what a potential Classic+ by Blizzard would even be like. I was already skeptical about Classic+ since there's a very solid chance that Draenei wouldn't be in there, and I'm an Alliance player whose favorite class is Shaman, so the lack of Draenei would've been a pretty big factor in whether I was going to play it or not. But after seeing how Blizzard went full mask off, "I'm not gonna sugar coat it *adds WoW token*" I'm pretty sure that there will be plenty of people who, despite already having chosen that they wouldn't play Cata Classic, I'm certain that there will also be a large amount of people that have had the well poisoned on their interest in a Classic+ as well. This genuinely feels like something that was decided by an executive and quite literally every employee below the position of that executive was pleading with them not to add it, but the executive just saw dollar signs in his eyes and ignored them all.

Almost everyone buys gold in wotlk classic. Blizz just redirected the flows from Chinese gold farming bots to themselves. IMO nothing has changed in that sense. Those who want to buy gold we still buy, but from blizz and those who want to farm via gdkp and farming mats will also continue to do so

I am so fucking glad i got to experience the game since the beggining, and not needing to play classic at all. I feel quite lucky i got to play the game when it was good, and not this crap... And is not just because Acti-Blizz... to be completely fair, the state of the game is only 50% Blizzard's fault.... the other 50% is the player base. People just don't know how to have fun anymore. They just want everything handed to them, without having to work for it at all. And of course the min-max mentality. I loved playing this game slowly. Enjoying every aspect of it, from the leveling experience, to the pvp and raids. All without feeling that i needed to rush. I had my guildies, i got Shadowmourne when it was current content, and i was the Main Tank of my guild at the time, and during the weekend id put pug groups together to gear up my gf and friends. Those pug groups became solid, permanent groups, and some even turned into guilds themselves and found a new raid leader / maintank when i stop leading because i joined the top guild of my server. Fucking good times!

They won't be adding it to classic era. There's not a large enough player base and they know how diehard vanilla players are not as into buying gold as much. They would essentially kill off a small player base for not much profit. It's a lot better to keep Era going so that they can keep players playing WoW so that they're more likely to pay for other versions of the game (retail, wotlk token, etc.). It's like gas companies and gas stoves; they make no profit selling gas to power stoves because it's so small of an amount. But if someone has gas hooked up for a stove, they're more likely to use gas to heat their house, which is where the $$$ comes in.

Well, I started playing wow (wotlk explicitily because I played it back in 2008) again after a 2 year break from retail and I have to say I wasn't shocked that blizzard decided to ruin the endgame.... at least I have my fun while I am still reliving the leveling journey but yeah this pretty much slaughters the endgame for me.

getting into a raid was already hard enough, even though I am full BIS Naxx loot, I havent been able to get into an Ulduar raid EVEN ONCE on my DK (blood tank nor frost dps), now its going to be only worst because half of the raids are going to be gdkp

Full BiS gear Naxx isn't good though. In a month you can grind dungeons for much better gear. Being under 5k geascore right now is pretty bad considering people had 5 months of Ulduar. Buy some crafted gear and do some Ulduar 10HMs. Lastly, no one wants a badly geared BDK. I wouldn't really want a geared one either but especially not an undergeared one haha.

Join a guild join normal runs.... Everybody is 5k+ gs by now. The point for the raid is to get easier each time, not having to carry people. Many guilds have alt runs for ulduars.
