In this game you have to turn off the flashlight and crouche walk when a monster is close. If you see a monster glowing wile moving all weird stop moving or it will wake up. Ones they are back to sleep charge your melee weapon and hit their heads. Guns are only supposed to be used when the horde start to attack or else you will end up without ammo when you really need it.

for hordes you can close the doors and if you bring the sea foam launcher you can foam the gray doors to delay the horde from coming through the door longer if foam is on the ground if they touch it they get slowed I think haven't played gtfo in ages like 3-4 years ago so could easily be outdated info but hope it helps.
