I believe the original roots of nyquil and vapor rub alike, trace back to a man named Lunsford Richardson back in the late 1800s. Although Nyquil would not be invented until the mid 60s, it was at least first produced by the same company called Vick's. (Vick's referring to Lunsfords brother) I think...
