I know exactly what a Gravitron is. I only went on it once as a kid as I has an asthma attack due to the pressure on my chest. It's actually the floor that 'falls' away though, even though it may feel like those pads go up the wall. On the outside it looks like a spaceships people were unaware of what was going on inside until the ride stopped. People have actually died in the Gravitron due to the pressure it exerts on the chest area.
