This melancholic music plays at the end of the gameplay version of this game in the fight scene when the Ghotst Of Tsushima Jin and his uncle lord Shimura fight because of this treachery, Jin killing his uncle. I''ve watched the gameplay version of this game a few times, the death of Ghotst of Tsushima''s most loyal horse and partner Sora, and the fight scene between Ghotst Of Tsushima and his uncle''s fight are the most dramatic moments of this game !!!!!! Rest in peace Sora you was most loyal horse now you can rest in peace butt we are going to miss you!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 the flute is the Shakuhachi

The score, surroundings and sorrow all coincide to create probably my favourite duel in media. The red flowers representing Lord Shimura’s fundamentalist commitment to honour and tradition, while the white flowers represent Jin’s sacrifice of the Samurai code, becoming the Ghost. Two warriors who walk different paths.

The first time I played Ghost of Tsushima, which was on the PS4, I was so blown away by the breathtakingly beautiful music, scenery and animation. The second time I played Ghost of Tsushima, which was on the PS5, I was immediately reminded of that first time, and how much more beauty I missed because of the limitations of hardware on the PS4. Jin's relationship with his living family's similarities to my own. The fact that I'm a veteran that has seen the destruction that combat causes. Playing through Jin's story with that as a basis made me feel like I was *LIVING* the game, not just playing it. Riding Kage, and later Sora, while running my hand through the pampas grass. Slaying Mongols left and right. Killing my best friend. Revenge for my own pain and suffering that another human has created for me. But without a single doubt, the wost was feeling Lord Shimura's heartbeat in my hands as it faded, because of the PS5's advanced rumble features. It made me feel as if I had murdered my own uncle, which, just like Jin and Lord Shimura's relationship, has been the best father-figure for me in my own life. I can only try to begin to understand the regret and pain Jin went through when I made that choice for us. Despite the fact that it is so new, barely 3 years old now, it has risen to be in my top 3 favorite stories of all time. Not video games. Stories, which encompasses movies, novels, comic books, manga, live theater, history itself *AND* video games, as well as several others that I can't think of at the moment. To me, it's *THAT* fucking good. The fact that it didn't win GotY back in 2020, losing it to The Last of Us Part 2, only proves that the people who make those decisions don't actually play or beat the games themselves. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying. TLoUP2 is a good game. I enjoyed it. That being said, TLoUP2 is just that. A game. Ghost of Tsushima is an interactive masterpiece. It deserved GotY back in 2020.

idk why but despite having every intention to i didnt get around to this at launch, 2020 was a just a weird year in may of last year i got an opportunity to get a ps5 from my mom and went to go get some games for it. the main thing i was getting was death stranding DX (loved the game on ps4 and wanted to experience the extra content, plus i got demons souls at launch lol) and as i was browsing in case i wanted more i saw ghost and realized i missed out in it and heres my opportunity play it. the other game i got with my ps5 tho digital due to the 6 hour demo was cyberpunk (ended up loving it). unfortunately i really staggered in playing it alot and didnt even really start it till around june cause i got sucked into cyberpunk, and finished ghost and dlc in feb 2023. other games got in the way lol. but what i will say is i went in with high expectations. after all, it was nominated for goty and when it came to the discussion of what game shouldve won instead of last of us, this game was often brought up when doom eternal wasnt (a fgoat for me). i went with hard difficulty and jp dub and was blown away by amazing this game, even my high expectations were blown out of the water. the jp dub added such an extra layer of immersion and authenticity that hearing the english VA sounds really foreign and out of place to me, and playing on heard really made for a rewarding experience and really made doing everything on the map worth it, i tried the dlc on lethal and i didnt care for it much tbh. the dlc was also really great, especially its narrative. such and incredible game and experience. easily sucker punch's magnum opis

This track brings me to tears every time. When Jin and Shimura rise from them both writing their final words and approaching each other, swords drawn at the same time, so ritualistically was so sublime, sad but uplifting at the same time. The music is so emotional and it feels like my heart is about to burst trying to contain everything that I'm feeling , at that moment in time. I've played the game several times and have shed tears every single time at that scene. One of the most powerful pieces of music I have ever heard. It will remain in my heart until the day I die.🥲
@cosmic2750 Жыл бұрын
The duality of this track is top tier. Spoilers ahead: On one hand you have Jin's track, which is basically the Ghost's theme now. Full of ambition, yet melancholic. It signifies that things must keep moving forward, it marks the beginning of a new era. While Lord Shimura's version represents a bygone era. Yet so full of wisdom, discipline and principle. Lord Shimura is the one who still abides the Samurai code, and his track represents that: wise, old owl who'll never forget what his mentor taught him. Ghost of Tsushima is absolutely one of best games I've ever played even in terms of just story alone.

So. Ghost of Tsushima is one of the select few games that lay claim to being a source of great emotion from me. I have never cried tears over a game like I have Ghost. The entire finale was one of the few genuinely emotional moments in media for me. I often am very separated from my emotions and from the media I consume, it’s a byproduct of my ptsd and often a detriment to my enjoyment of many things. This track I just sat and deflected blow after blow listening too as I teared up. Realizing what was coming. I inevitably gave Shimura what he wanted. I felt it was right, what it meant to him. I wish I could experience that genuinely once in a lifetime game for the first time again. But it will always be one of the games that I will always consider as a masterpiece, and remember forever.

The soundtrack shows both sides of the arguement and we have the journey of Jin Sakai replete with emotion on one side and then we have The Honorable samurai who lives by their own code and one who cannot let go of the traditions.

I BEG OF YOU to do “Way of the Ghost” from this game. I have platinumed and replayed this game 5 times now and every. Single. Time. I hear that piece, it brings me such an encapsulating sense of inevitability and loss on the journey instead of the journey itself. A slow, yet ever-so destructive reminder of that comes when on a one way path. The vocals are astounding, and it follows the same path of rhythm as this song to an extent.
