I think that the little editing also plays part in it. It's just a guy sharing his opinion about things and you start actually listening and thinking about it yourself compared to all the other guys trying to turn off your brain and subconsciously implant their own values, thoughts (and in most cases some random expensive ass courses that supposedly improve your life by tenfold) with exaggerated editing which is equal to fast food for your brain.

Even if such people existed who would save others and leave them in better circumstances, it wouldn’t matter. It’s more than just actions but primarily its mindset. A person who thinks money is a scarce thing and money leaves their hands quickly even if they were to win a lottery, that money will fade quickly compared to a person who thinks the opposite. Saving yourself is mostly changing yourself mentally than physically. A fat man who goes to the gym while having the mindset of being fat will most likely not lose weight. Life is a buffet. Get up and dish up since no one will do it for you. Even if they did, they will give you things you don’t want
