After a little time driving it you don't feel the size of it any more. When you get parked up the space is amazing.
@lourdesajramos67742 жыл бұрын
Very nice, very impressive. My complaints are the small wheels ( small wheels can easily get stuck in a pothole unlike Big Chunky wheels that have a better chance of sliding out of a pothole ). The bus itself is squatty - if I want squatty, I'll drive a 🚗. The 🚽 toilet is NOT adult size. Pretty small for adults, and the bathroom space is cramped. But overall, it is a relatively desirable RV motorhome.
@davemurden34322 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised you can get all this insight from a video. Impressive. Not sure what sqautty means? Do you mean the roof is low or that a bunch of hippies have moved in without permission
@lourdesajramos67742 жыл бұрын
@@davemurden3432 ☺ The point is that it's good enough if nothing else is available as far as what is affordable to the buyer ( relatively desirable RV motorhome ). And yes Squatty like a 🚗 car ( small wheels 👎 ). You don't get to sit high in the driver's seat like in a bus or semi-🚚 truck. I like to sit high - it makes me feel safe ( even if it's a false sense of safety ) - I like that feeling. ☺
@davemurden34322 жыл бұрын
I guess if you're comparing to American units then yes they seem small. I guess you have never been over to the UK. By our standards this is a large motorhome, the standing roof clearance is about 2m inside and is nearly 9m long. The vehicles you are mentally comparing it to do not work here in the UK, you would struggle to leave major roads. Most campsites won't accommodate anything much bigger, we have customers with 10m-11m motorhomes who really struggle to get in anywhere. This is a 5,000kg motorhome not a 20,000kg RV
@lourdesajramos67742 жыл бұрын
@@davemurden3432 🔵 I asked my Amazon-Echo-Spot-Alexa to do the conversions. 2m = 6 feet 7 inches, 9m = 29 feet 6 inches. 5,000kg = 11,000 pounds. That's a pretty Big motorhome. But yes you're right, compared to the Big-Ass Monster-size motorhome buses🚌 and trailers/haulers in the U.S., that motorhome in the video is NOT as Big but Big enough for me. I would be comfortable camping in something that size. And it's actually a very nice motorhome ( I like the look and size of it ) but I still don't prefer squatty ( small wheels )☺.

I'd buy one just so I'd have something that most others couldn't have but my tiny common sense part of my brain would say no because as I found out that a lot of sites can't take a motorhome that length and when you take into account some of the roads leading to a site it would take away the whole point of a holiday and that is to relax

Surely the toilet is a swivels to the side? I prefer space on each side of the bed!
@davemurden34322 жыл бұрын
The toilet does swivel. Maybe that is something we should demonstrate in the videos. Nathan no longer works for us and I'd like to think Ben who does our videos now does things a little better. Everyone wants an island bed but once you understand that it is the most space hungry bed layout, you realise that motorhomes always have some compromises. If you can drive something which is 10 ton plus and 11 meters long then there are less compromises.

@davemurden34322 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelSmith-jb5md I have met a few people who have done conversions. As we sell Lithium batteries people often come to us during the build. I met a guy at the weekend who converted a coach, he planned 6 months but it took him 2 years working on it most days. I would love to convert a coach myself but I'm under no illusion that if I paid myself minimum wage for my time it would work out easily as expensive as a mass production motorhome but I would have it bespoke to me.
@MichaelSmith-jb5md2 жыл бұрын
@@davemurden3432 Like I said, having materials on-hand is the best way to go. Plan or plans have it down on paper so you can look at it, and adjust accordingly. My coach I used what I had on hand, as well as using my antique furniture and I built my cabinets. I don't go and buy stuff like the majority of people i use simple materials and can make a unit world class on a poorman's budget. If you sell batteries send me your contact info.

This motorhome has a large kitchen, sofas in the lounge which and adult can lay down on to watch TV, a separate shower and internal cupboard space. The A-Class cab uses a little extra space but then it bring a large double drop down bed to the party. Two weeks skiing in the alps with all the family, equipment, food and clothes would be comfortable in this motorhome. The space doesn't make sense to you but I can assure you, these are extremely popular motorhomes

a cassette toilet in that size?
@davemurden34322 жыл бұрын
This one is a 4 berth maybe 5 if someone sleeps on the settee. If away from a site, quite a lot of people get an extra toilet cassette. Septic tanks are quite a big step from a cassette toilet. Out of European motorhomes, there are some which have jet flush and septic tanks but they tend to be 6-8 plus berths.
@lenardd.84312 жыл бұрын
@@davemurden3432 yes that was my concern with 4 people in the motor home cassette toilet can be filled up quick ang when you are camping off grid it is a hassle to go to a dumping station, a macerator toilet with a black tank would benifit the owner of big camper vans like this

Personally I like the design of the Burstner Elegance and Burstner Argos. Could you suggest a motorhome you are comparing it to which you feel makes better use of the space? I would be interested. Comparing to anything with a much bigger footprint wouldn't be fair as you can't go much bigger to fit on our town and country roads.

(🤫El-Rey-mea-aparte🙃) a mil km. Tututu tummm.
