A bloke I knew had a Pacer that he renovated with a 265 engine with which he fitted an inlet manifold with 6 Mikuni carbs which he claimed gave him vastly improved fuel economy and power, surprising 351 engined Fords.

I’d love you to do another series with DJ doing the Valiant, I think he’s doing a good job but lacks and confidence and someone to help him, if he collected a few more bits and had you help him, get the slant and pacer back in the road like the Torana in no time

Considering the drive across the country is at hand I'd think an XU1 tank would be worth it for a little extra driving range. Was great to meet you over the weekend!
@oldskoolonly12 күн бұрын
Cheers mate, was great meeting you also and thanks for the help. Fuel pump works fine btw 👌🏻 I’ve considered that with the XU1 tank but as good as it would be for the trip, it’s a massive compromise on boot space. The old tank is all sealed up now and should get me home no problem 🍻
@Shanes_Shed12 күн бұрын
Yeah those XU1 tanks are not really ideal for practicalities. Good to know the fuel pumps working😊

Another amazing update, this build is more than just a car. The trim work is excellent, the help that everyone is giving you is because you are a great bloke. I agree that it would be awesome if you and DJ could work together on getting the Pacer back on the road. Looking forward to seeing your face when it’s registered and on the road again, not looking forward to this adventure finishing as it’s been awesome to watch. Cheers Warren
