When i have the chance i do it for when i have to rescue, i usually try to see how good is the hunter ping or reaction, if he is good then do a bait rescue, probably a chair hit an a free rescue, if he isn't a fast reacter, just do the rescue

I practiced in bot mode (nightmare mode) for a while just to generally get an idea of when to use it and what kind of situations to use it in. Also you gotta take into consideration the the length of the different hunters attacks and how long their lunge attack is (like Wu has a big hitbox for his white guard). It just takes practice and testing it out but you’ll get there!! ☺️💙

You'll eventually get it lol I started using flywheel back then when I saw it getting used a lot on SEA tournaments. And now it's meta everywhere, even in CN, flywheel is everywhere. I could time it better now too, I would even perfectly flywheel Nightmare's dash hit.

What helped me is going to the customization for the controls and moved the button up closer to the middle of the screen so it's easier for my thumb to tap it. Works really well for me. Hope that helps 🙂

Unrealistic josephs swing didnt linger long enough for it to hit you

Not sure what you mean by “unrealistic” but I think the Joseph didn’t expect what I was gonna do with flywheel (I also had no stuns). If he did hold it for a lunge as I walked up he might have gotten me if I didn’t time it right. I was close enough where a lunge wouldn’t have worked and he really only could’ve used a quick attack so that’s why I fly wheeled at that moment. Also as I watched this back again I noticed he kinda swung at a weird angle a little bit, maybe had auto-aim turned off cause it looked like he swung his sword just a little bit off direction and that could’ve been another reason he missed. So really may have been a couple things he did that made him miss hitting me. Not unrealistic just not executed the swing properly most likely. Joseph does have a nice hit box (I play him and Wu the most as hunter) but I was expecting it. It’s pretty easy to hit survivors with Wu and Joseph because of their range.

Yep I know about his hitbox and his particular “linger” hit but even with that, a well-timed flywheel is immune to any hit. The flywheel here lasted long enough to be immune to that and/or his weird angle also made him miss. He still has to aim correctly, if his auto-aim was turned on it might have worked. It looked like it was turned off because of the weird angled hit. I mostly play Wu but also play Joseph as my second hunter main so I know about his hitbox. It’s why as a survivor you should be picky about throwing pallets at him (and Wu) bc of the high chance to get hit while throwing a pallet. I have another video where I loop a Joseph around a pallet for a while until he gives up cause I was never gonna throw it and get caught by that linger hit. This vid he just missed unfortunately, but it’s not common in my games. I get caught by that linger hit a lot. I just got lucky here really, but I was preparing for it either way bc it’s hard to avoid.

Linger or no linger flywheel will grant immunity to a hit - plain and simple. Linger will not connect as a hit if flywheel is in process at the same time.

It was a well earned tie, he was a very very good hunter during the match and I prefer that because it’s the best way to learn. I’ve had dungeons escapes like this happen to me as hunter many times and I have no issues with it and wouldn’t want anyone to feel sorry for me. I would just learn from it and be better for the next match 💪 . It’s best to accept the results and move to the next match because ya can’t win them all and it’s nice this game has “ties” because it can provide a balanced end result. The hunter was nice in post-chat as well and everyone GG’d. Thanks for watching! 💙

I’ve had some survivors do that to me a lot in tarot when I’m the knight and I just learned to turn my brain off at their constant graffiti and emotes and just focus on the attack. It’s also a strategy to do that to hunters because it can increase their emotions to make them angry and then they might play worse (or sometimes they play better! 💪 ). I think I have some vids of hunters hitting me on chair and emoting/graffiti at me just for kiting them so long 🥲. I’ll have to dig through my gameplays for one of those next. As a strategy, If a hunter stops chasing me I do use that emote that looks like “come here” with the surv hands - I forget which one that is, but it’s because I don’t want them to leave me bc I wanna be chased lol. The more I get chased the better I get at kiting 😊. But I try not to do it over and over because yah it can be kinda annoying. Or sometimes my fingers will slip into the emotes at the wrong time and then I feel bad 😓. I hope you have a great day and enjoy your games in IDV 😘💙

I'd be fine if Flywheel just took you out of the hunter's hitbox range when timed right. That's fair. But COMPLETELY making you IMMUNE to damage even if the hunter is practically right on top of you??? Might as well give nonmeta hunters the bird while you're at it😭

Agree! If they left FW unadjusted in distance and just removed the immunity I could get on board with that. But since they nerfed the distance that really makes it useless in it’s current state if there’s no immunity. I’d be all for it going back the way it was without immunity because that distance was good enough!

That would be useless skill, to be honest. Unless it made you travel like 20m ahead. The hunter would just hit you right after. It's the same as a hunter missing a hit in the open field, it isn't much of a big deal.

The way flywheel is designed it’s to save you from a hit. I don’t think it’s unfair but it’s definitely STRONG. When I made this video flywheel was stronger because it lasted longer. It’s been nerfed so now you gotta be more precise with your timing. If I was using the new nerfed flywheel I bet he would’ve hit me and knocked me away from the dungeon because I definitely used it too early. But also the second he saw me he should’ve did a lunge hit and he would’ve hit me at the end of my FW finishing and most likely would have knocked me away from it too. When I play hunter I usually fake like I’m about to hit them so I can make them use the flywheel too soon. Also since it’s been nerfed I don’t encounter many survivors who time it right because every hunters hitbox and attack speed is different so you gotta memorize them all pretty well. It’s still very strong but if the timing isn’t right it just gets wasted. When I’m a hunter I don’t think it’s unfair because I’ve learned how to counter it and I usually get a good hit, it just takes practice. PS I love your profile image 💙 I’m a Lucky main 🤗

@@aasupe ​ Actually this is before the flywheel nerf, I ended up behind him because flywheel had longer distance back then. I think around the time I made this vid flywheel just came out too so a lot of hunters had a hard time countering it. I used to play DBD a lot and there’s a similar skill just like it that I used a lot in it too so I was already used to using it. Joseph did hit me but during the FW animation, he just kinda glided off of me lol. The FW nerf was deserved though, it was really strong before.

Hi angel! Yep it’s a new trait. I think it came out early summer or maybe earlier I forgot. It replaced a different trait that had something to do with healing quicker. I guess no one ever really used it so they put this new trait in its place. It’s similar to a skill in Dead By Daylight. Thanks for watching! 💙

@@BxdAngel yep! It’s at the very top of the persona tree. It’s called “Flywheel” and gives you a quick dash move that can avoid any hunter attack. It can only be used like around every 140 seconds but comes in handy especially when you use it last second off a chair or at the gate! It’s really nice :)
