Tsar I consider myself a true feminist/ traditional feminist .... modern day feminism is skewed. I have “old fashion” type of values and beliefs. Any masculine man I’ve encounter in my life has never felt emasculated or challenged by my beliefs & they usually agree with my stance on “gender roles”. So no I don’t think it could ever be a problem for me, personally.

Can confirm. I am a 29 year old Texan man and, regardless of the age of the woman I am speaking to, I say yes ma’am/no ma’am. She could be 80, 23, or 12 years old, a southern man will say yes ma’am / no ma’am to her (If he was raised properly). Also, “fixin” does have many meanings. Behold: “Fixins” = condiments or toppings “Fixin to” = I am about to do something “Fix” = to be fixing something Also “Fix” = to cook something Also “Fix” = to teach someone manners “Git my fix” = to satisfy a craving Also, this video is old because Dak hasn’t been that good in years.

One of the beauties of Texas is the Alamo (as referenced in the video) and it’s history. I hope to convey why we find this to be such an important symbol for our state and why we look up to this event. The men who fought there, knowing death would be upon them, were born all across the world coming from different states, nations and ethnic backgrounds. Hispanics, English men, Welsh men, Scots, Blacks, and men from all over the United States: from New York to Tennessee. Though they were born across the world, they all died Texas heros. We all hope to live as nobly as they did.

@@emilyyoung2836 So, the running joke about Austin is that it's a slice of California in the middle of Texas. It's very much a hipster/hippie kind of place. Great music scene, but the values really don't mesh well with the rest of Texas. Especially if its your first time in Texas, you'll like San Antonio. The food's really good, the people are friendly, there's a lot to do. Sam Houston State's got a good program too, so you've lucked out moving here. I'm from Dallas, but I've got a lot of love for SA.

Yes we Texans use "ma'am" and "sir" a lot. I moved up to WI and was working in Walmart Jewelry and was calling a customer "ma'am" and she reacted like these girls, thinking I was insulting her "I'm not that old!" I told her that age didn't have anything to do with it. I was Texas and it was considered manners, Esp for customers, employers, teachers ect. Since I was acting sales rep , it was proper manners that I use sir or ma'am for the customer.
