The story ends with her looking in the mirror looking at how horribly disgusting she's become with tanning, peicerings, tattoos and her parents disowning her. She dies on a bathroom floor from an overdose, after hallucinating that she lives a happy life with her child. The story in whole is based on things that often happen in real life. An innocent girl getting turned into nothing but a pile of flesh no one wants anymore.
