Its nice that you included my country, Indonesia (formerly known as Dutch East Indies) in this video. And there is a fun fact regarding this video that i'll tell you. Belgium War of Independence that you present in this video had a direct impact to Dutch East Indies that infamously known as "Cultuurstelsel" (p.s : Belgium war of Independence was not the solely cause of this policy coz Diponegoro War also popularly called as the Java War also played a great role behind it). This policy will exploited not only our natural resources but our peoples too. The Dutch desperately need money to avoid a bankruptcy that befall on VOC in the end of 18th century. The result of this policy was a massive success to the Dutch. They wallet were full but on other side the natives were in despair (unless you are a aristocracy or held a high position in bureucracy that get a direct benefit from this policy).

But onfortunately there was many violation in its practice where various native authority extorted many farmers grain that exceeded the specified amount. This is the main reason why our ppl was heavily suffered in that period.

19th century was full of many different events, wars and shifting cultural and political ideologies, and this video is just too short to encompass it all. From Napoleonic era, the Romanticism, Victorian colonialism, all the different political and scientifical breakthroughs, Industrial Revolution, et caetera. Not to mention, the french segment is just a bunch of stereotypes, like Eiffel tower, berets and all that, instead depicting any of the significant events in French history from that era, like Napoleonic Wars, July Revolution, First and Second Empire, French Commune, or Franco-Prussian war. Also, your selectin of countries seems arbitrary, you left out unification of Germany and Italy, you left out Russian Empire, you left out Poland under the Partitions,

XIXth century France is total lack of knowledge about the time period : 1800-1871 is one the most boiling and violent period in France's history. 1800-1815 : a few wars, thanks to Napoléon. 1830 : conquest in Algeria, revolution in july. 1848 : revolution in february, riots in june (>5k death just for Paris). 1851 : Coup d'Etat by another Bonaparte (Napo the third, the nephew of the Napoleon we know). 1852-1871 : Second Empire, only a little violence (mostly in the colonies...), but also a few wars in Europe (Italy, Crimea, and stuff) and an expedition in Mexico. 1870-1871 : franco-prussian war. 1871 : the Commune, but also in other cities of France (>150k deaths in total, thanks to the Republicans). 1871 to early 1900's : France (almost) at peace, yet still launching colonial operations, and still firing with canons into proletarians on strike.... but "vive la République...".
