You CAN do it! It just takes some practice. So what if you make a mistake or two? It's such a fun song to do. I have been working on it for weeks. People will appreciate you performing it and they will be supportive. Just SELL it as you sing it. That's the best advice I have heard.

This is the perfect song for a female alto. I sing this daily and I see myself improving on tone and quality. Jonathan Groff is my favorite actor and my sister loves Hamilton. I sang this once while she was over and she had me repeat it like, 3 times because she liked hearing me sing, which is a first (im not a good singer anyways lol)

This is so helpful, yay :) I love this song so much it has been my ringtone for like six or seven years now. Also I'm not really that great of a singer, but I do like singing a lot still and this helps me train because there's an Open Mic arrangement in a week from now with Musical Theatre songs and this is one of the songs you can perform with a pianist there and I'm considering performing You'll be back there because it feels like a song where it of course helps to be a brilliant singer, but if you're a mediocre singer, you can still make the song awesome if you really act it through. And I feel like I could manage that quite well; bring the melodrama and the attitude and the charm that is so much of what I adore about this song :)

I'm pretty short for my age so I'm probably not going to get the white witch or Susan only because of my body type. But I'm still older and can easily handle a bigger part. So that's why I hope for Mrs. Beaver. Also she's a great character and would be SOOO much fun to play. I'll totally let you know how it goes. Callbacks are Saturday, results are Sunday. Ok so update! I made it into the play. I didn't get Mrs. Beaver, I'm only in the chorus again. I was sick right before my audition so my voice was still cruddy and it made me nervous. The positive thing is I got an evil character! So you know using this song is like auditioning as an evil character cause the king was bad......... so I'm excited cause I thought to myself, if I didn't get a lead, I at least wanted to be evil.
