Thanks for this! It's exactly what I needed tonight. It's 4:00am, I just went to bed 2 hours ago... and was rudely awakened by the sound of a waterfall. Sort of. From the 2nd floor I could hear water in the basement. Went down to check it and there are FOUR giant holes in the house's foundation that are absolutely pissing groundwater all over the floor. The streams of water shoot out 3 feet away from the wall because there's so much pressure behind it. We got 2 feet of snow a few days ago, and it's been above 40 degrees (F) for two days now... so all the snow is melting and has nowhere to go but into our basement apparently. The sump pump is working, but can't keep up with it. We have 2 inches of water covering the entire basement at this point. And then it pumps the water out the window onto the ground outside, where it just soaks back down and re-enters the basement anyway. 😓 Oh the joy of living in a 120 year old house that has never really been maintained. Because of this, the noise and the frustration of it, I can't fall asleep again... but then there was this. And now I'm going back to bed. Thanks!! Also, in case nobody has said so recently, you have a lovely voice. Keep up the good work.
