No, it’s not in fact. There can be long stretches of time when we feel completely alone and abandoned again. With our relationships destroyed, family, friendships, partners, lost, etc. Sometimes we have a season of attack from the evil one and his little bitches, the cluster B disorders. Even Jesus, at the very end, although he was committed, asked for God to not make him go through the horrible ending that was to come. And when he was on the cross, wiled those famous lines “my God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” The reality of death and darkness is very intense, especially for our sensitive, breakable little human bodies, and nervous systems. But faith is stronger than all of that. Even if we are feeling wounded and lonely, if our bodies become addicted to a substance that was, a painkiller for an injury and we spiral out… It doesn’t mean that God isn’t there.
