@@graxo3752 Yes, Baldur's gate takes a lot from dnd 5e which has simple mechanics because players would have to keep track and correctly apply those mechanics themselves, but a computer can automate the process so their original rpgs are more complex

It seems interesting, but I don’t think I can get over the lack of voice acting. Still I hope that if Larian makes DOS3, it will be voiced because I am very excited to see more of what they can do. It’s been a month since the release of bg3 and im still playing it. Clearly they knew what they were doing, because it’s risen above Persona 5 and another game which shall not be named, to take my number one spot in the greatest games of all time. So if they continue to make incredible games, I have no doubt that the years will only make their games better than the last. I also want to see what their original IPs can do and how they differ from BG3. I just need to be able to play it modernized and clean.

Played the hell out of DoS 1&2. Played the hell out of it again with mods I cant wait to see what people cook with BG3 mods. There's already some really cool ones frm some 5E spells to new classes and very ncie QoLs. The hairstyle,, face mods have been awesome as well. The characters look so good in cinematics. I made a really cute tiefling and gave him a softer TAV voice mod which fitted him perfectly(there's some issues like random lines being in the old deeper voice but those cant be turned off.) Tho i will wait for more time until more unique, properly done ones come out so i can exp more content.

The worst part of this game is the way they make you think you can explore a bunch of characters and then they just are gone without any warning. I got stuck with a really low level and not really the party I wanted and quit the game for good after that point. I thought "oh I should see what these characters are like...wait the party I liked are perma dead ...."

Genuinely I prefer DOS2 over BG3. Sure it's not as deep or intricate, but I do prefer the combat and fluid system better... Most importantly, I think the story itself is leagues better. It's not that BG3 is bad, but DOS2's own story, companion stories, it's twists and turns, it's just out there.

Bug fest good luck getting it to even run. They never fixed the launch bug. Hints No overlays No other programs of any type running including desktop And make sure you hit reset in the NVIDIA app even tho nvida can’t find the game folder it knows it’s there but… Oh and no controller controllers are a 50/50 just don’t.

DOS2 is basically a tech demo for BG3. Larian approached WoTC about making a DnD game shortly after they released DOS1, but they didn't think Larian had what it took. Thus, Larian poured everything they had into DOS2, and afterward WoTC changed their minds. Boom! BG3 was greenlight for Larian to make.

Actually, I truly think that divinity's combat is actually better than baldur's Gate 3 because you can control the battlefield with magic. DnD skills are not meant to be that impactful, thus making combat different. The armor system is also incredible since it avoids streak of misses on rolls like I'm dnd

I couldn’t play the old rpgs when I was little because I had no money for a pc. I know the older ones didn’t hold your hand at all and DOS2 is one of those it has suggestions and recommendations but it’s all you nothing else. I got my mind blown with ifan Ben Metz when I thought I was soft locked into a horrible choice for just some information only to realise the world doesn’t shape me I choose what to do and when i returned to this character that was soft locked on one reply only she actually referenced the fact that they are still alive and they haven’t foreseen this. Until then it was a frustrating slog of not knowing what to do and where to be but after this simple line I got so hooked and suddenly all of the feelings of being overwhelmed disappeared

Divinity 1 remains the better game, if you want to push the interact-part to the limits. 2 was a serious downgrade - not in mechanics, but because what they added in 2 - teleport and flyingskilms for every.single.thing.in.the.game. 1 was so funny because you could carry around enough furniture to create chokepoints and other mean stuff. In 2, that doesnt work anymore - frogs will teleport directly too you, waaaaay too humanoids somewho know how to fly, so they ignore any and all obstacles in the world - including groundeffects, which are a huge part of the game - as long as you stand in there with the ai, because she will sure as hell just fly around. It robbed the game of many great options in combat. Having only warriors in your team was simply the far superior option - because they can also learn to fly and can instantly engage anyone - like the ai again. The source-system was stupid as well, why make the spells so broken that you need a ressource to cast them, if there is no natural way to recover it besides infinite barrels you can just lay a portstone next to making every encounter easy? But still, the game remains something special. I would just higly advice to find mods that outright remove any and all movement/teleport skill besides the ability to teleport an ally outside of combat. I say you have a much greater time that way. Now that oh so mighty master necromancer finally falls on his ass again, because he has to traverse the giant icelake you created, instead of teleporting around.

It is a great game, just wish they toned down how many puddles of death you have to walk through. Thankfully Larian really improved on the problem with BG3, it had oil and fire barrels, but i didnt feel like i was playing the floor is lava.

I feel bad. Played with friends who did half of the tutorial city and rushed me through everything which ruined my enjoyment of the game and now it's difficult to go back. Played BG3 with a different friend, told him about my bad DoS2 experience and the friend proceeded to do the exact same thing which made me stop playing. Luckily I came back to BG3 after a few months.

Thank God Xbox has a refund thing I couldn't wait for baldurs gate 3 so I copped divinity 2 and refunded the game just cos baldurs 3 nearby

I'ma be honest, DoS2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I just can't get into BG3...the combat actually feels worse, as your resources are more limited.

I loved this game, i had 3 different playthroughs. One of my own, one with my best friend/brother where we just went with what happened, and my very first playthrough with my bro, his bro some guy i didnt know(the worst playthrough i experience i had, because we had to follow what he said and didnt allow freedom or fun.)

DOS2 has a garbage action point based combat system that makes me want to kill myself. There's absolutely no guarantee you'll like it if you liked BG3

Yeah, I played it with a friend, got to the first big town tried to listen to a dog who was smelling something bad under the fish processing place and then had to kill everyone in the town because they decided to kill all of the dogs there. 10/10 game.

You said the name of the continent wrong. Which, sure its a fantasy name who cares, but they say it out loud, fully voice acted, in game about 10,000,000 times so there isnt much of an excuse unless you actually havent played much of the game and are just reading bullet points from the wiki to make a quick buck video.

Bro this games story is all over the place this games a follow up to divine divinity and it ignored all that’s games lore and seemed to make crap up as it went along half the time I was confused because I played the previous games and knew characters I met in game who didn’t act at all like they did it in the past with no explanation and they outright ignored the player characters development from divine divinity for generic villain please this games story is nothing compared to a single side quest in bg3 divinity is a garbage series why do you think we haven’t seen three? Because two was god awful and only the most blind of people supported it or new players who had no idea what occurred in the other 2 games divine divinity’s pc Lucian they turned from a good guy to a tyrant for literally no reason I clapped that boss in one turn I can’t even recall that games story even though I beat it close to 60 times the side characters and companions had no personality beyond edgy,edgy, skeleton, did,and arrogant red lizard a single conversation with astarion or shadow heart has more character development than the whole of the divinity companion cast. These two games are leagues apart one’s a master piece I can’t put down and the other one’s a game I recall half the classes sucking in
