I think it’s absolute genius how they have essentially rebranded the show over the past 12-18 months. It’s no longer simply a financial show. I think Dave realized he has to be go beyond money and having Ken Jade and Dr. Delony as personalities expands the viewership greatly. Also, yes, I know it’s not a news show but they should have addressed the shooting upfront especially with Dr. Delony as one of the hosts. I know it was discussed briefly yesterday but they can’t ignore something happening right in their hometown.

I think this current batch of other personalities is the best they've had yes. I used to tune out if Dave wasn't on, but I think the new folks all bring a lot to the table. I still prefer it to be Dave + Somebody else, but I also like everybody else (John and Jade are my current favorites though).

45:00 (roughly) To Elizabeth in Nashville: you are correct. Dave DOES say you can do BS 3b simultaneously with BS4. It just depends on how quickly you want to save up for a house. Now, his caveat is that you shouldn't be in BS 3b for more than 3 years.

If it wasn’t for this show, I would still be barely making it by and no money saved. From that to a little money saved and paying off debt is a complete 180 for me.

Just completing my full emergency fund before starting on the mortgage. It has provided a clear path through the Forrest of finance. And it doesn’t matter where I am on that path because I can see where it leads.

I'm in Canada, and I don't think we have a 15 year fixed rate. My sister in PEI could only get a 5 year fixed. Alot of things are different here in Canada.

It’s like that in Australia too. Can only get a fixed rate for 5 years. They are telling the caller don’t get a variable mortgage but don’t understand you can only get a fixed for 5 years or maybe 10at the most.

It’s the same here in New Zealand. You can choose a fixed interest rate for up to 5 years but then you need to re fix or float at the end of that term. You can’t pay off extra while on a fixed rate as you get charged penalty fees. Part fixed and part floating (variable) rates is common here. This way you can pay extra on the floating rate to reduce the mortgage. Most mortgages are for 30 years unless you ask for a lesser period.
