I love this video. It seems early to throw the clubhead from the top but I like your figure 7 video because it pins my left arm on my torso.

been struggling lately and shooting in the low 90s, but after a couple vids from Steve and some range time, I went out and fired an 80s round! Great stuff

For years i could never understand why or how in Homer Kellys Golfing Machine, the left arm was to be "intert". I couldn't understand how one could get any power without swinging the left arm in a "pulling" motion. Ive always pulled the left arm because i thought the arms had to be "in front" and the hands ahead (left side of the body). This i realized is SO misleading and not true recently after revisiting your videos with better understanding. Your videos have changed the way i view the swing and after 25 years of studying the swing. I can't believe how certain concepts are completely neglected in golf instruction (actually i can as people would learn for themselves instead of paying weekly lol)...and pretty much every decent pro has done what you're saying and others have been and are neglecting. Some dont realize it perhaps and are doing it anyways by cause and effect.. but still are. I just really wanted to thank you and I'm glad to see your channel finally growing. You deserve it. I've been off and on watching since you barely had 20k subscribers and i see you must be much busier now which I'm happy for you. It took me quite awhile for the lightbulb to click as i was indoctrinated with common instruction leaving to assumption that is wrong. Again, thank you for everything.. it's changed the way i see the swing for the better and i can't wait to finally play after i grind all of this into my swing more permanently. Best wishes.

Steve you're so awesome. You have a similar weight shift drill with an alignment stick that is pure magic. The whole release thing still escapes me.

Steve could you comment on driver swing path? In to out I assume and how you make that happen please? Is it your pivot or your throw/release?? Thank you Sir!

I am guilty of swinging that lead arm out in front. So thanks much for that. But for a while I have wondered if you have eliminated the backward and forward shift of the hips because Tiger kept on getting stuck which made that move unpopular. So I looked back at the wall drill parts 1 and 2. Mike Austin in part 1 explains that you put your hips flat against the wall and at the start of the backswing you slide your hips straight back along the wall and then you rotate your front hip away from the wall keeping the back hip pressed against the wall. In part 1 I did not get a clear picture of the action on the forward swing. But in part 2 he made it crystal clear that the hips start by sliding forward at the angle away from the wall they were in, so toward the ball not the target. Then you rotate your lead shoulder back toward the wall while leaving the trail hip closer to the ball than it was at address. The idea being that the lead hip would rotate past the original position before contact, putting the hands in front, giving the proper forward lean. Hopefully, I have that right,. But what I really would like you to talk about are the hand exercises he shows in part 2. I once explained to a friend that the secret to my swing was that I made big circles with my joints for no particular reason. You can guess what my friend thought of that explanation. And it seems that those actions were what. Mike Donovan illustrates except he is only showing it with the hands while I was doing it with the legs too.

You show the „step and throw“ movement without the club with the right hand, but with the club at 14.59 with the left hand. Chuck Quinton has proven, that Tiger Woods is throwing with the right hand - as did Mike Austin.

Ever time I try shift my weight I top the ball w driver

I’m no pga professional but I’ve also experienced this. Usually it’s because I shifted my head too forward. The weight is in the front foot but the head is still behind the ball.

I think what you are explaining is not really what you are feeling in the swing, and until you actually are certain of what is happening during a proper golf swing I would avoid teaching this information.
