if you read to the bottom, I’m gonna start hiding snippets of The Lore here lmao, so here goes: Mal and Gatherer (Beta Golden Guard who is basically an OC now) go to witchy cosmetology school together. Gatherer is much better at it than Mal, but it really helps them bond! Gatherer is the one who shaved Mal’s name into Lucia’s undercut as seen at Terra’s funeral. (For the record Lucia requested that. Mal thinks it’s gauche.) Mal doesn’t stick with hairdressing going forward but she has a fun time playing with Lucia’s hair and her knowledge helps her whenever Lucia’s or her own hair needs touching up
