Quick fix on the Aviation Design Super Scorpion hatches. Both have been lost during flight. Fortunately it didn't alter the handling of the aircraft that much and the owner was able to get it down safely. Thanks for watching!

Dang Jonathan, you had me thinking that you were going to mold new parts because the correct ones were unavailable. Fooled a silly old man ya did! O.K. not clickbait but a great how to video showing how it could have been done correctly the first time. Great stuff you be doing here, two thumbs up of course.

Great fixes Jonathan!! These are common issues with the Scorpion and Super Scorpion. There is a LOT of internal air pressure on the air-frames due to large inlets for the turbine and open gear areas. I have had the standard size Scorpion for several seasons now and have done many mods to prevent the canopy from departing the frame!! The standard Scorpion canopy is more flimsy than the Super Scorpion, so it actually bends in half from the internal pressures. I have layered some carbon and glass cloth front to back to stiffen the canopy. I have also added magnets along the canopy/frame joint to help. Sometimes surgical tape is your best friend too!! As for decreasing the pressure, a friend made some inlet duct restricters on his Super Scorpion that worked nicely. I added some NACA ducts in the rear of mine (Ultra Flash style) and they seem to help let the air exit as well. If you have never flown a Scorpion, you must try one sometime. Nothing that I have ever flown flies like a Scorpion!!

Yeah I didn’t comment in the video and I kind of noticed it afterwards that the intakes on this plane are absolutely massive especially when you compare it to something like the diamond. Yeah I have never flown one but I would like the opportunity. I was talking with the owner today. kind of a unique plane, a combination of a sport jet and a scale jet a little bit of an F-18 with the twin verticals in a little bit like an F 15 with the airbrake

Geez, what a poor design on those front pins. I like the new ones you made.. those are not coming out! A fellow pilot has the smaller one, so I will get him to check his pin setup.
