Man I remember when this first came out and I was just stupidly happy the hear You Me At Six on the radio. So many people found out about the band thanks to this song. Had no idea who the hell Chiddy was...actually I still don't. I remember find the song on one of my best friend's iPod's (ahhh good ol' Nanos) and getting really excited because I thought she was finally coming round to liking YMA6...nah, she just liked it for the Chiddy bits.

Experimenting with a different genre of music for one song doesn't make these boys sell-outs. Sinners sounds nothing like this, and the album versus a single is where all of their effort really goes. You Me At Six has always been fantastic, and they stay true to themselves, so they always will be. Step off, mate.

I know, I’m finding it hard to breathe And I’ve been drowning in my own sleep I feel a hate crashing over me So rescue me (oh, oh, oh, oh) (yeah) So rescue me Everybody need to drive before we break out like hives Gotta learn to put this shit we call pride to the side I ain’t no player, without you I’m not okay Viva la Vida, now she wanna give me Coldplay Oh, once you find you can’t keep it You broke my heart in a million tiny little pieces And I would splurge on you, never put hurt on you Talkin’ to your girlfriends, tryna find dirt on you Damn, is this what we have come to? When he was cheating, I was the person you’d run to Guess it’s for another time, this is what I’ve come to find Should’ve seen it coming, but Stevie Wonder, love is blind I know, I’m finding it hard to breathe And I’ve been drowning in my own sleep And I feel a hate crashing over me (that’s what I feel, right?) So rescue me (oh, oh, oh, oh) So rescue me She used to be the person of my dreams And now she’s just a demon of my nightmares I know this shit ain’t what it seems Hey, hey, you ain’t leaving, I’ll be right here Shorty just rescue me, I know you especially The way I always felt with you, thinking that true telepathy Like the age and their games, we used to be binding Who would have thought when you left, the right would become the wrong thing? I know, I’m finding it hard to breathe And I’ve been drowning in my own sleep And I feel a hate crashing over me So rescue me (rescue me) So rescue me And I’ve been drowning in my own sleep And I feel a hate crashing over me So rescue me (oh, oh, oh) Oh rescue me So rescue me

i can relate to this song so much. my girlfriend is on and off again when it comes to our relationship. one day she says she loves me then the next day she says she hates me and doesn't want to be with me. i caught her cheating on me but she pretended like it never happened. and i try to break it off with her because this relationship is unhealthy for me but she won't let me go. I just can't seem to let her go either, even though I know she's gonna cause me even more pain in the future.

okay, I need someone to clear something up for me. I could SWEAR that listening to this video, it says 'like the agent named james, we used to be bonding', but on all the lyric sites, it says 'like the age and their games, we used to be blinding'. Someone tell me I'm wrong or something because it's totally driving me nuts when all I want to do is sit back and revell in the awesomeness that is this song.

you me at six literally said they got drunk and tried to write a song that sounded like 'Airplanes' (with hayley williams + b.o.b) as a joke, and the label loved it. 'Time Is Money' is literally a big fuck you to the label for trying to make them sell out
@Alexisdabest089 жыл бұрын
Actually, Bite My Tongue was the fuck you to the label
@nohopeforhipsterss9 жыл бұрын
Alex Smith ACTUALLY Josh literally said in an interview that Time is Money was about the Label. Also, the lyrics 'You don’t like the size of us now / We've grown a lot since Hold Me Down.' and basically the entire rest of the song pretty much point it out lmao. Bite My Tongue was about Josh's feelings towards the band and the reasons why they almost broke up (he says this in the documentary lmao)
