@DecoDoesYT2 жыл бұрын
I'm interested in the "lack of responsiveness" plenty of people refer to when they talk about the Morelia ii. I've worn speed boots for years and never found any problems switching over to the Morelia's. What do you mean by it?
@michaeldesanto17202 жыл бұрын
Yes, what is this 'responsiveness?'

Responsiveness depends on the weight of the player too. But mainly they are reffering to the sole plate and stud pattern. Pulling yourself up with a hammer vs a pickaxe on the ground, kinda.

@davidhill59882 жыл бұрын
One thing to add regarding the pricing of Mizuno boots; because they are produced in smaller batches at a time (smaller factory production runs), this means that production output is less efficient versus producing higher quantities (aka larger production runs) per batch. Factories are built to profit from large scale runs, which means producing larger quantities will have lower price per pairs than producing smaller quantities. For example, if producing the same exact shoe at the same factory, producing 10k pairs per production run will be more expensive per pair than producing 100k pairs per production run. That's just manufacturing economics. So from this, you can see how Nike and Mizuno strategies are different: NIKE As they are a marketing focused publicly-traded company, they need to spend a lot of money in advertising to generate higher sales of their products to stay ahead of other competitors (and keep shareholders happy). This means, to stay ahead, they have to add this massive marketing cost into their shoes to continue fuelling their marketing initiatives. So when you buy a pair of Nike shoes, most of the money Nike makes from that sale has to keep going towards marketing expenses. So here's the cool part: Nike's marketing is incredible, so they are able to sell a lot of football boots, which means their factory production runs are huge, allowing their prices per pair to be much lower. That per pair cost savings goes right back into marketing, keeping their marketing strategy strong, and it's an upward spiral of continued increased sales with lowered cost per pairs and making shareholders happy. MIZUNO As they are a quality focused private company, they don't need to satisfy shareholders but instead choose to focus on producing the highest quality products that speak for themselves. Mizuno football boots leverage social media/ word of mouth to generate sales as social proof is one of the strongest form of advertising, so if everybody talks about Mizuno, then Mizuno gains organic awareness without spending a lot of money on marketing. Because Mizuno doesn't have to spend as much money on marketing, they continue to put those cost savings into product quality (such as lower quantity batch runs, quality assurance/ control personnel, etc) to continue producing top-notch shoes. However, the benefit of improved quality assurance/ control with smaller batches results in higher price per pair given the cost infrastructure of how factories work, and you see this reflected in the retail price of their boots. Mizuno's products continue to gain organic awareness because their football boots ARE top-notch and their boots, even with their higher prices, are worth it to people and people talk about how amazing they are so other people are willing to buy Mizuno footballs boots. This creates an upward spiral of positive/ strong word of mouth, generating organic sales without spending too much money on marketing, putting that cost-savings back into the product quality, selling top-notch footballs boots, repeat repeat repeat. So conclusion: Just because you see Nike football boots everywhere doesn't mean their boots are the best football boots, they just focus their attention on marketing which comes at the expense of their football boot quality. Just because you never see Mizuno football boots doesn't mean that their boots aren't very good, they just focus their attention to product quality and performance which comes at the expense of awareness for their product.

The 24 hours vs. 20 minutes last itself is already insane from a production output perspective. 72x longer just from that one step alone!

@mrnoize13952 жыл бұрын
Hi Dom, What surface do you play on? and how long in months do your normal boots wear? - I own a few pairs of Mizuno Japans. I'd say Morelias are probably best, most comfortable out the box boots that money can buy. I play mostly on AG and havent had any unusual wear issues over the last year. i dont wear the same pair every game, but they get at least a wear per week. As you probably know AG is tough on any boots even Turf Trainers! The main issue i've had is the sizing, mostly length being odd. depending on your feet probably half, to a full size up on say Adidas. ive found them best on wet or damp AG, the bite is a bit strong for my old knees when dry. but not as bad as most FG stud patters. they currently dont make a japan AG stud they apparently did a few years back, but non export. If youve got the money i would go for the morelia 2 like in joshes review or the DNAs for the best of both worlds. i'd avoid the Rebula and go with Nike Tiempo 9s and skip the Neos and get something like an Adidas Speedflow if thats your bag.
@letterkeys44402 жыл бұрын
@@mrnoize1395 when you say avoid the neos do you mean the betas? Cuz neo Morelia is the base name. I’m currently wearing the neo Morelia 3’s mij and was gunna go with the betas next. What’s your take on the betas?
@mrnoize13952 жыл бұрын
@@letterkeys4440 Yes sort of, Mizuno dont make its easy with 3 boots having the Morelia name. So in the video is a Morelia 2. All Leather, traditional conical studs on a normal pinned sole plate (like the adi mundial but better as you dont feel the stud pressure) The Neo Beta is more of a half leather around the toe area. Synthetic else where. for me it has a tighter feel round the top of the foot and personally i dont like the flap at the back, rather than leather against my heal. (reminds me of school shoes) Neo Betas do have a more modern soleplate. which is a bit stiffer but also a bit longer. If you want the best of both worlds go for the DNA Japan. its got the modern sole but all the benefits of top japanise leather. Straight up comfort Morelia 2s are great. Neo Betas look cool but for me i prefer the comfort of the all leather thing Mizuno does best. Hope this helps. Oh btw. if you can try on before you buy the sizing of all the boots is a issue. i'm a 10UK in Adidas. Medium Wide feet. I can wear a 9UK in the DNA or Betas. a 9or9.5UK in a Morelia 2. I should say due to the softeness of the leather ive found a half size down suits me better - ive ended up buying a few pairs until ive found what feels right. - As a side note: ironically 9uk on my right foot and a 9.5 on my left. but probably dont do that unless you have too much money and odd feet like mine. always buy for your bigger foot otheriwse you'll most likely have issues with cramp and blood flow doing for the squeeze.
