YOU MUST DO IT! Thorong La Pass | Annapurna Circuit Nepal #4

Crossing the Thorong La Pass was an incredible challenge. But there were so many amazing things that happened along the way. This is a journey and a trek that I believe any hiker/trekker should try at least once in their lives.
It can be dangerous and treacherous, in some cases people have died. But any mountain pass can be fatal too.
Enjoy the story I share of my friends and I traveling across the Annapurna Circuit to finish our climb at the pass.

We had a bike trip to manang few weeks ago. We are indians. Nepal is a beautiful country with wonderful people. We had zero experience in trekking, though we did tilicho lake. Wish we saw your trekking video earlier. Learned and enjoyed . Cheers 🥂

Cool video ! I have done the trek in 2019 alone, I haven't seen anybody on the way, I really suffered with my 25 kg on the back, I had a tent because it was really off season and I camped at the Tilicho Lake also. I would like to do it again but with people, it's not funny when you don't share the moment with somebody.

It was incredible! The price range is anywhere from $400-$800 for the 16 days we did. There are ways to do it very cheaply and ways to spend a lot more money. But now you need to hire a guide to take you the whole way so that price might be a lot more now. I would check how much a guide costs.

Is it mandatory to hire a guide in Nepal now ?

I've heard a few different things. Technically yes, but some people have said that they haven't fully implemented it yet. But it will be mandatory in the future. No timeline is official that I've heard but if you're planning it definitely include it in your budget and plans.
