As you were speaking about coronation under the bridge tower, you were wrong, any Bohemian King or Holy Roman Emperor was coronated under the tower. Charles bridge was just on the way of the coronation procession to Prague Castle from Royal palace which was standing where is now Municipal house. Kings and Emperors were coronated in St. Vitus cathedral in Prague castle. 🙂

2:36 I don't think this behavior is only because of the tourists. It used to be much worse before. You have to know that during communist time, due to a planned economy, there were quite a few shortages in the stores. The salesman was therefore doing the customer a favor by selling him something, and he had become accustomed to being unpleasant or arrogant with the customer. I think the Czechs have inherited such an atavism, even if things are changing a little, especially with the younger generation. “The customer is king” is not yet a Czech habit. It's more like: “The salesman is king” ;-)

As someone who works at czech cosmetic shop near Old Town Square it's more about the tourists, especially the ones who think we'll drop everything to help them even if are talking to different costumer or those who think we'll automatically speak their language. I'm not always the nicest I'll admitt that, but sometimes it can't be helped
