maybe it's icky but you can rub a screwdriver all up in them without breaking anything. that's also the best way to check for functionality when troubleshooting broken parts when you're swapping stuff in and out. i once licked my finger and stuck it in there to jump the pins on an old server PC and it worked just fine, but don't do that it's pretty stupid, you could discharge static electricity and break something. poking them with a screwdriver is fine though

So….you plug the power button…into the spot the power button plugs into. Got it. 😂 The splitter is cool, I may actually have to get something like this so I can start my pc from my living room. The only problem is I’d definitely forget about it and accidentally yank the cord out, bending pins, when I go to move my pc. The proof is I already do that with my usb extension cable.

I've even just used a fan wire, just split the cable an remove wires not needed so just leave 2 in the housing and keep the opposite sie separated until u need to clear C-MOS. Makes life easier.

@@adtc You have to write some basic code, or you can easily Google a code line for shutdown with a timer or not, then using Notepad++ save as a .bat file. In which you can enter a command prompt and search for said file. You'll map the bat file onto your desired button or keystroke combination. Basically you are making a script of a CMD, in this case shutdown, which you "input" by pressing your shutdown key. There are simple tutorials I found online that I followed and it works for me. I can upload a short video of my setup if you'd like.
