I tried it with ESR case (one with the kickstand) and the NFC did not work with credit card terminals or for reading new cards into wallets. Mine is an Ultra and it also messes up the s-pen. Wonder if it damages the NFC components. The dashboard mount only charges at about 5 Watts even though they advertise "near official Apple MagSafe speed" (15 W, but then the manual says 10 W max -- hardly near 15 W -- and 5 W even further away.)

in my opinion magsafe is really good because you can change the accessories easily, however a magsafe case is most likely a better option for most people as that allows easy removal of the magnet simply by swapping to a different case edit: i for example have a magsafe case on my s22 and it has worked without issues

You never see lines of people out side Iphone store any more. Yes Folks Samsung did that. Apple was once the biggest phone manufacturer in the world. It does come down to personal preference. I have both phones and comparing every aspect of both ecosystems as a whole there are minimal differences. It does good for publicity to have something to fight against which is why people point out the pros or cons of android or apple features.

I have the halolock on my S23 Ultra and its awesome! The ESR cryo charger is great as well. I have 1 in my Camaro and 1 in my Explorer, never had any issues with them. One thing to note, the cryo version has a fan inside and it's kind of loud if you are driving with the stereo off.

If a charger can damage a product, then the product is cheap made. It's easy to put a zener diode or better conductor to control voltage and current. If they think about fastest charging, then they could put one type c and one proprietary socket.

but whenever i stick magnetic thing at the back of the phone, the stylus won't work on the coresponding screen of the area. sometimes the phone wont even detect that the stylus is back in the silo until i remove the magsafe accessories.

I had an ESR ring on my Z Flip 4 and it was life-changing. I just traded that phone in for the S23 Ultra and the first thing I did was put an ESR ring on my new case for it. It's crazy how much easier magsafe makes things. I also have the ESR 2-in-1 cooling stand charger, and their portable battery pack. They make excellent products and I'm a huge fan. Anybody with a hard backed case should put magsafe on their phone with these. You won't regret it.

2:48 actually if you put something like that on your phone tht needs a little pressure to disconnect/remove from phone and you put like that, why don't you just connect a cable? that is way faster and safer. The whole idea of wireless charge is less messing with cables and devices , so you just put your phone and it is charging and then you just take it like from the table , messing with magsafe magnetic staff that is connected to cable is just marketing ...

If u use a magnetic popsocket .....yes u will have issues.... I literally couldn't use my Spen....It took me all night researching.....I was convinced it was defective.....until I read on a video...took the popsocket out....and my Spen worked like a charm again

I've noticed that the camera lens prootectors have become a big thing just this year with Samsung. Not that many talked about them a year ago with the s22 ultra, and there wasnt too many options on the market. Now this year way more people are talking about them and they are way more widely available.

This doesn't work on the ultra the accessories mess with S-PEN and your phone will give you warning ⚠️ about the PEN is missing and when you take the pen out the phone has no idea your trying to use the PEN

I have the MagSafe Quad Lock case on my S23 Ultra and the pen works fine with this case. I don't like bulky cases like this even though it isn't too bad but I ride my motorcycle a lot and use my phone for GPS and don't want to lose it or have it fall like my old poor S22 ultra 😢

Has anyone used the Quad Lock Mag? I had been considering ESR for a case for my new Galaxy S23 plus. What I really require is a wallet that attaches to carry debit card, drivers, license at a minimum. Then I spotted the Quad Lock when searching phone holders for bikes as I recall searching last fall for my new ebike and tossing at least 2 mounts already. They offer plenty of bike mount options, selfie stick/tripod, runner's armband, etc but pretty pricey. Hope to hear some feedback. (The twist and lock original style seems ideal for a bike, but now they offer a magnetic option, as well.) Thanks.

This makes your phone useless with regular wireless chargers. I just removed the ring from my S21 as it wouldn't work with Teslas in-built wireless charger. It starts, but then quickly turns off. Probably because the charger detects some interference. It however worked fine with magsafe chargers.

That's a shame that those magnet rings simply don't work with esr kickstand cases. You had to ise third party kickstand case to fit it. I don't know what brand it is because you covered it with your finger but i guess it's spigen. Sponsored videos are allright unless you're selling cr ap like ring and case which won't fit each other.

I have a Galaxy S23 Ultra, a Mouse case, and the new $20 Anker MagGo 15W Magsafe pick, no fan. Why is it only charging my phone at 5 Watts? I have been for a few months now. No issues with the S Pen on the S23 Ultra specifically 👍 The only time there is an issue is if the magsafe accessory that I attach to the back has an exceptionally strong magnet, but even accessories generally don't cause an issue.

Do you have the same brand of magnet or a different one? Some brands have stronger magnets which may interfere. And which phone did you put it on? I was only able to test this out on the S23 Ultra. I haven't tested older S Pen devices like the Note series.

Gotcha, yeah, it definitely wouldn't be worth it if you lost S Pen functionality. If you really want to have the magnet, though, this ESR one has been great for me. You could also try a magsafe case, now that more manufacturers are making those.

As an electrical engineer with a focus on hardware design, I can confirm that cooling the battery while charging it will make a noticeable difference to charge speed. This is because a hot battery won't charge efficiently, and the charge wattage needs to be reduced to prevent overheating the battery and damaging it. When using the fan, my phone also stays cool to the touch through the entire charge cycle 👍

Just got my halo lock ring for my s21 ultra. It turns out that this is just another type of "metal ring" shaped for the magsafe; it's not a magnet, so it won't affect the s-pen. Once u use *some* magsafe accesories, then ur s-pen *might* get affected. I say it like this bc I've had a couple of magsafe accessories that never affected my s-pen while it was attached -- specifically the ohsnap grip. I know the 2.0 grip got a couple of flaws compared to other grips, but it's one of the few magsafe grips that I found that never affected my s-pen (it could also be bc of the metal ring they used, not sure, but that's y I'm somewhat hesitant to replace the ohsnap metal ring with this ESR halolock metal ring 😅)
