I love my leather apron...I use it whenever I do any metal working after having caught the 100th jacket (or shirt) on fire from grinding or welding. It's great having dedcated pockets for scales, markers, etc!

I love my leather apron. I used to frame houses and still have my bags. The apron works the same way for fab as the tool rig did for framing, just a whole lot lighter!

Everyone needs an apron like this. Looking back I think every blacksmith would have used one of these.. and that’s ‘Fab’ at it original best… Definitely need one myself..

yeah I'm more of an overall man myself but aprons are great for summer not only that with welding day in day out I tend to put my leather apron over my overall's may seem strange but overalls only take so much hammer before they go bad, personally I'm debating if i should modify my overalls to take detachable leather sections

Thanks for the review. I got an apron last year and am still getting used to reaching for it. I’ve found similar convenience as you described. Plus it saves my clothes from grime and abuse. As you said, it’s handy for those things you’re constantly tracking and looking for. I’ve considered slitting the front of mine for leg room / motion whether walking across the shop or sitting. Not sure on that quite yet. “Go make things, son”! @mr_joeys_garage

The apron is under rated. When I got my leather welding upper and lower set, it tends to keep me comfortable and the splatter of mig welding off of me. I definitely see the value of this for metal working!
