Some random voice in a doorway shouting "You have a big shiny forehead!" 😯🤣🤣🤣🤣🥳 That's the best way to deal with people who have miserable, boring lives, use HUMOUR and I guarantee they'll stop their nonsense very quickly when you laugh it off and show it doesn't bother you. Definitely experienced this. I run multiple fb groups and people are so nice but now their popularity is starting to irk some people. They rant at me and others about me with very little facts at hand. Clearly misunderstanding and using language that just shows they are indeed having problems in their life and taking it out on others. We all have problems for sure. So my stance is to pity them and move on. Oh and less is more. Engaging often just enrages them as it’s giving them a platform to say more. They often feel attacked by any reply too as they’re in a delicate state. So I smile and move on these days. You’re doing great work. You’re offering something positive. You’re building something of value. My motto is build something that, if nobody sees it, you’re still proud you made it. 👍

Good point Alex. There will always be haters for whatever reason. That's the reality we have to deal with as creators. It's also something that's holding me back from showing my face online. I've had a few jealous people attacking me online when I was younger, which had a big impact on me back then. But now that I have more experience as a Social Media Manager, I have become more comfortable with it and don't take it that personally anymore. So yeah, I want to push my boundaries and show my face more in the future. You're right that it's better not to feed the troll.

Great video - loving the views of your city. When I started YT, the negativity bothered me. Now, I realize it takes someone about 30 seconds of effort to type something negative and they have nothing to lose (typically) when doing so. And that lack of effort helped me realize that criticism is welcome only from those who are putting in an equal effort to what it requires me to run my business. So when other YTers, friends, SEO, gives me criticism, I listen and consider it. Otherwise, I've learned to let it just fade away and not even let it register. Regardless, great video - I'd love to visit your part of the world one day.

The problem with social media is the amount of work it takes to get anywhere near the same amount of traffic as we used to get with Seo. Getting seen amongst the crowd was difficult before the HCU, now it's 10x harder because everyone else is also trying to promote themselves on social media instead of using seo.

I have been ignoring (Website) SEO for months. On the other subject, I agree. You need tough skin when doing KZbin, I have been a KZbinr for 8 years now, my main channel blew up early, because of this a lot of people disliked me. I had one person that followed me on every live stream, watched every video instantly, emailed me like crazy and sent me multiple death threats. He even found an address of a relative. For this instance, I just ignored him and eventually he got bored and moved on. For things like "You have a shiny forehead" - you do exactly what you did. Point it out, laugh about it and move on. That person can then be transformed into a follower- and most likely lighten up. If I'm gaming and someone comes on and says - you are trash at this game, I'll be like, you haven't seen anything yet. I'm so bad, maybe you have some tips for me to improve? Flip it for the win.

Man, I can feel you. I once started a YT channel talking about mountain climbing. I had lost all the four fingers of my left hand to frost bite while I was climbing in the arctic. In one of the videos I wiped my face with my left hand and the viewers saw only my thumb. The comments read like I am some kind of half bred alien to my mother must have eaten something rubbish while she was pregnant. Got so pissed, deleted my entire channel with 17000 subscribers. Sadly I haven’t developed a thick skin yet. YT is toxic for creators.
