great video! im dual neutral averaging 20 seconds, so this really inspired me to get faster :)

I'm dual neutral at 17-19 seconds, but algs are more important I think so once I have efficient algs for all of cfop then I will become colour neutral. I'm fully colour neutral on 2x2 and skewb, and slightly slower if I don't start on blue for pyraminx

I would recommend CN if you're not very fast. for somebbody like me, who already averages around 11 seconds, it would be an incredibly difficult and demotivating task to become color neutral, and dual CN is perfectly sufficient.

well said, i learned CN was i averaged 30-40 seconds and that’s the time i recommend other people do it too

I solve the cube with all of the colours and my average is 20😂 I started doing it one year ago

10,000 subs by the end of the year? I think you reached your goal.

I honestly believe this changes a lot depending on your level in 3x3. As you get faster your inspection will become more and more important. If you are colour neutral you will waste a lot of time looking for a good cross plus at least 1 f2l pair, but if you are dual colour you only have to look at two colours and will have enough time of inspection to plan your cross and 1-2 (or even more) f2ls. So I think that as you get faster, dual colour can be a better option as inspection becomes so vital, but slower people will find colour neutral better as they usually just look for an easy cross and very occasionally an f2l pair, so they just look at different crosses quickly an choose the one that has the easiest cross (which is something than can't really be done when you have to plan f2ls) Also becoming colour neutral when you are dual is way too hard and not worth it. I spent an entire summer only doing colours I was not used to and now I might do colour neutral sometimes but most of the times I get times a bit over my average. Definitely not worth an entire summer

True, there is some nuance I left out for the sake of being concise in the video, such as the fact that I became color neutral when I averaged around 30 seconds, and that I personally recommend people learn CN when they’re slower so they build the habits early. I learned CN early on and now i solve on all colors equally with no impact on my time

i dont think its worth it im dual cn and i rather spend my inspection looking into f2l and possibilities for 2nd pair insted of wasting my inspection on crosses that are 2 moves better
@skewb489 ай бұрын
the thing is that it takes like a second to find a cross

Being CN is cool but probably not that big of an advantage over solving on two colours. And if you switch late it's too much effort with too little reward for most. You get a better ROI if you work on using inspection time well and planning cross +1 or 2.
